Omo, what a night!

Hadiza’s plan to put my training to the test didn’t work out as she expected cause the moment we left my parent’s house and headed out to the city, she and I soon found out that tonight’s assault was unlike anything we’ve ever faced.
The first place Hadiza and I dropped by was Bodija which suddenly caught our attention, not only was the place was giving off a sinister vibe, it was also blaring with strange echoing sounds that made our skins crawl. In that moment, Hadiza and I made our way into the area and just as we were getting close to the market in that vicinity, we came across a path that was filled with large rats. The rats were so much that was no way to pass through them and the strange thing was, they all stayed in one position as if they were in a queue. Their loud squealing noises didn’t help matters either and the stinking odour they gave off pissed Hadiza so much that she instantly pulled out her whip and slashed it right through them.
The rats instantly dispersed in that moment squealing louder than ever but something wasn’t about their departure.

Hadiza ➡ URGHH!!!

Riley Jr ➡ You hate rats?
.

Hadiza ➡ Rats are evil creatures. Their very presence is an evil omen.

Riley Jr ➡ You might be right about that, I didn’t like how they scattered. The rats were supposed to Japa the moment we came here. You don’t think…

Suddenly just as I was to finish my statement, low groans began to emerge from the dark corners of the street and within a blink of an eye, dozens of street oloshos appeared and stood on the streets like dead tree trunks. Hadiza and I looked around wondering what was going on cause it was clearly obvious that someone wanted to draw our attention and seeing that we were surrounded, we became fully cautious and alert for any unexpected assaults.

Riley Jr ➡ Someone is rolling out the welcome carpet for us.
.

Hadiza ➡ Be on guard junior. I don’t like this at all.
.

Riley Jr ➡ Chill. I’m pretty sure this is some kind of mind controlling spell. I’ll handle this.
.

In that moment, I unleashed my Anti-magic in the vicinity to spell whatever spell that was holding this oloshos captive but to my surprise, nothing worked. I unleashed my Anti-magic once again and still nothing worked.
Hadiza and I were stunned but before we could get over our shock, something unexpected occured. Suddenly in that moment, all of the oloshos raised their heads instantly looking straight at us. Their eyes were completely white cause their pupils were missing and as if that wasn’t freaky enough, they began to scream out loud into the night scratching their faces and bodies like savages. Some of them even yanked out their hairs right out of their head, it was horrible to watch. For a moment, Hadiza and I thought that we had seen enough but what came next was far worst and terrifying. In that moment, all the olosho suddenly began to climb the wall of the buildings close to them. They were climbing in a strange like manner, it was as if their bodies was clinging to the walls. As soon as they had reached a certain height, they all leapt from where they were and stayed in mid air looking up to the sky and shortly after that, they began to shake and tremble violently.
At first, I wasn’t scared by this but then as I looked at Hadiza’s face, I saw fear written all over her face. Never have I ever seen her look this way until now, she was so scared that she was literally shaking and that got me scared as well.

Riley Jr ➡ Hadiza, what should we do?

Hadiza ➡ We need to leave, now!.

Riley Jr ➡ Do you know what’s happening here?

Hadiza ➡ Ask questions later. Let’s go now.

Suddenly as Hadiza and I were about to teleport out of Bodija street, something instantly took control of our bodies rendering us immobilized. We struggled to break free but eventually, we remained calm as we witnessed something brutal and devastating.
The street oloshos that were hanging in mid-air suddenly stopped moving and right before our very eyes, their heads instantly turned to the back of their necks . Hearing the snapping sound of their broken necks forced me to let out a short frightful scream. What scared me the most was that what would happen to Hadiza and I now that this bitches were gone. After their necks had been snapped, the street oloshos dropped onto the ground like bags of cement.

Riley Jr ➡ Ah.. Hadiza, what’s going on?
.

Hadiza ➡ There’s a demon here. A very powerful one at that.
.

Riley Jr ➡ You mean a demon did this?
.

Hadiza ➡ Not just any demon. A demon king.
.

Riley Jr ➡ Demon king,?
.

Hadiza ➡ Demons have ranks. Lower demons, demon lords and lastly demon kings. Demon kings are the most powerful. They’re the only ones that can possess multiple bodies.
.

Riley Jr ➡ We can get out of this right? Right?
.

The terrified look on Hadiza’s face was enough to tell me that we were in grave danger. I never knew there were powerful demons like this in existence and if Evlyn is recruiting them to join her then I seriously doubt if we’re ever going to win.
In that moment as Hadiza and I were waiting for the worst to happen, we noticed something strange happening from in front of us. Right here before our very eyes was a wall just a few meters away from us morphing itself all of a sudden. At first it looked like something was trying to break out of the wall but then things took a different turn and then out of nowhere, a big terrifying face appeared on the wall. I’ve seen worst demon faces but this one right here was too much. Even though the face was made of bricks and cement, any human that looked at this face will certainly drop dead in that moment.

Demon king ➡ (laughs)
.

Hadiza ➡ Is something funny?
.

Demon king ➡ Let me show you!
.

In that moment, Hadiza’s body rose into mid-air and the bones in her joints started to make cracking sounds. Her painful screams were so loud that it could wake the dead. Seeing that she was in trouble, I quickly appealed to the demon king to release her.

Riley Jr ➡ Stop! Please don’t hurt her. Please!
.

Demon king ➡ And why should I let her go, hmm?
.

Riley Jr ➡ Please..
.

Demon king ➡ Oh, I see.. (laughs) Interesting. You love her don’t you? Okay, I will let her go but if she dares speak to me again, she dies.
.

In that moment, the demon king released both Hadiza and I giving us back control of our bodies. As soon as I was released, I rushed towards Hadiza’s side to check on her and fortunately for us both, she was.

Riley Jr ➡ What do you want?
.

Demon King ➡ You!
.

Riley Jr ➡ Why? Did Evlyn send you to kill me?
.

Demon king ➡ That bitch has no control over me brat. I’m here on my own accord.
.

Riley Jr ➡ What do you want from me?
.

Demon king ➡ I just want to see the Anti-magic wizard that freed me from my prison.
.

Riley Jr ➡ Me? but I didn’t…
.

Demon king ➡ You did, months ago but with your sister’s help. You casted your anti magic around the world to get rid of the evil magic Evlyn planted in the earth.
.

Riley Jr ➡ Oh, I remember.
.

Demon king ➡ It’s a shame what happened to the other Anti-magic users but they’re nothing like you.
.

Riley Jr ➡ Can I ask you something?
.

Demon king ➡ Sure.
.

Riley Jr ➡ What’s your motive and why are you really here? Give me a reason to believe that you’re not here to kill me.
.

Demon king ➡ If I wanted you dead, you would have the moment you showed up in this street but take a look around you and see what I mean.
.

In that moment, I looked around to see what the demon king was talking about and it didn’t take me long to see what he wanted me to see. I gasped with shock as I saw that all the demons and spirits that had invaded Ibadan surrounding all the entrances of Bodiya street. They stood at a safe distance staring at Hadiza and I with murderous intent and viciousness.
It didn’t take me long to realize why they hadn’t make a move on us. They must have sensed the presence of the demon king and if they could fear him this much not to make a move on Hadiza and I then this demon king is no joke.

Demon king ➡ Are you satisfied?
.

Riley Jr ➡ Absolutely but why are you sparing me?
.

Demon king ➡ Like I said, you’re special and I sense great potential in you. As you are right now, you’re not strong enough to beat anyone not to talk of protecting the ones you love.

Riley Jr ➡ Do you know how I can be stronger? tell me!
.

Demon king ➡ (chuckles) Where’s the fun in telling you when you’ll soon find out soon enough. When the time comes, you’ll know but for now, just know that they’ll be darker days ahead. See you soon brat.

Riley Jr ➡ Wait! What about the demons?
.

Suddenly before I could get a reply, the demon king disappeared from the wall. His sudden disappearance felt strange cause it felt like he was running away from something. In that moment, I noticed that the demons that had surrounded us had scattered all around running as if they were being chased by something.

Hadiza ➡ Junior, what’s going on?
.

Riley Jr ➡ I don’t know but we’re not going to wait and find out. Come on, let’s get out of here.
.

In that moment as Hadiza and I were about to disappear out of the place, Rotimi showed up instantly looking worried. We were both surprised to see each other and judging from his appearance, It was obvious that someone had messed him up pretty bad.

Rotimi ➡ Junior!
.

Riley Jr ➡ Wetin?
.

Hadiza ➡ What’s wrong Rotimi? You look worried.
.

Rotimi ➡ It’s Ebinoluwa, I’m looking for her. Have you seen her?

Hadiza ➡ No. Did something happen to her?

Rotimi ➡ It’s a long story but she disappeared on me. I need to find her.

Riley Jr ➡ Can you sniff her out? I hear demons have heightened senses.

Rotimi ➡ I tried but I can’t.. (sniff) Wait.. Her scent, I sense it. She’s….(looks up)
.

In that moment, I followed the direction of Rotimi’s eyes to see what he was looking at in the sky and to my surprise it was Ebinoluwa. She was falling straight towards us like a comet and from the way she was falling, it was pretty clear that she was unconscious. Before my sister could hit the ground, Rotimi launched himself up into the sky with incredible speed and caught her in mid-air after which he landed with her safely onto the ground.

Rotimi ➡ By the gods! Ebinoluwa!?

Hadiza ➡ What are these markings on her body? Junior, do you know?
.

Riley Jr ➡ No, I don’t. I’ve never seen her cast any spell like this.
.

Hadiza ➡ Well, she’s definitely hurting. We have to do something.
.

Riley Jr ➡ Allow me.
.

It didn’t take me long to unleash my Anti-magic on Ebinoluwa’s body and as soon as I did that, the black markings on her body instantly disappeared. Shortly after dispelling the magic, Ebinoluwa regained consciousness but she looked pretty weak if not exhausted. She wanted to sit up but she didn’t have the strength to do so, it was Rotimi who helped her up by carrying her in his arms.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Rotimi…

Rotimi ➡ Don’t waste your breath. You need to relax.

Riley Jr ➡ (licks tongue) Tch!

Hadiza ➡ Junior, is something wrong?

Riley Jr ➡ No, nothing wrong. Let’s get going.

🌹 EBINOLUWA 🌹

Everyone tends to believe that *what doesn’t kill them makes them stronger* but what they don’t realize is those things that they consider to be their greatest strength can also be turned to their greatest weakness. Fighting Evlyn’s followers has been tough and with their numbers increasing, it was only a matter of time before they prevailed. At first, I thought that it was impossible to get rid of Evlyn’s followers all at once but now I’ve found a way. Some believe that in order to defeat an enemy, one must need to know their objectives but the truth is, one must use their enemies strengths and advantages against them. All supernatural beings thrive when the night arrives and that darkness is what makes them invisible. Seeing how Evlyn’s forces were using the night to their full advantage, I decided to use it against them.
Holy magic is the antithesis of dark magic and anything associating with evil. The mystic art of Holy magic was lost long but now that I have it’s knowledge, there’s a chance that Evlyn can be stopped but there is one problem. Unlike Dark magic that is easily used and accessed, Holy magic is a bit more difficult to fully have access to. Dark magic is an irresistible temptation like sin whilst Holy magic is more like trying to get God’s blessing and only way to get that is an unshakable and absolute faith. Nobody can escape sin, that’s a fact but faith is very hard to maintain. Most Christians and Muslims believe that going to church and mosques shows their devotion to their religion but if there’s no faith in their hearts then they’re nothing in the eyes of God.
Considering the fact that I used holy magic for the first time against Evlyn didn’t work out, I was determined to try again and fortunately for me it worked. Crimson light might not be magic but it dispels the Altros and any form of dark magic so I decided to create something similar to that but more deadly. After I ditched Rotimi, I teleported myself straight to the sky where I unleashed my spell. Using the moon as my weapon, I casted a spell on it’s rays turning it into a deadly version of the crimson light. The spell worked out well more than I expected but it came with a small painful price. Since this powerful spell of mine is a product of Holy magic, all the sins/bad deeds I’ve committed over the years appeared on the left side of my body as a mark. These markings didn’t just pop out like that, the moon rays burned it out of me even though my skin wasn’t affected. The pain I felt was unbearable and the only way to escape the pain was to cancel the spell but I couldn’t do that. I had to endure as long as I could until I passed out eventually.

Presently, here I was in the confinement of my bedroom enjoying a hearty meal of Eba and stew assorted with medium chunks of goat meat. Last night’s battle had worn me out much that not only did I spent half of the day resting, I also had to eat a lot as well. This mound of Eba is my fourth one so far. Everyone was worried about me after hearing what I had went through but they were soon glad that I was now alright but it seems like I wasn’t the only one who had a rough night.
As soon as I was done eating, I got out of bed, removed my clothes and went straight into the toilet to take a shower. The water was cold but I didn’t mind. For once I appreciated it considering the burning pain I went through hours ago.
After the shower, I came into my room and tossed myself on the bed and began to stare at the ceiling absentmindedly and in that moment, Solomon appeared before me reminding me of last night’s mayhem.

Solomon ➡ You pulled off quite a stunt last night.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Can’t you see that I’m not dressed?
.

Solomon ➡ So? I’ve seen your mother’s figure more times than I can count and yours is no exception.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ (sighs) I need to find a way to defeat Evlyn. I must. As long as she’s around, nobody is safe.
.

Solomon ➡ You can not prevent what’s coming. Evlyn will make this world crumble.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ So you want her to destroy the world?
.

Solomon ➡ No but from what I’m seeing, she’s getting close to her goals.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Maybe but it’s not yet over. I’ll find a way to stop her, no matter what.
.

Solomon ➡ You better because time is running out. Dark times are headed of us.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ That may be so but it won’t last.
.

Solomon ➡ Don’t be so sure. Some darkness are ever lasting. Prepare yourself kid, the fate of the world hangs in the balance.
