Her phone rang. It was her father in law.
It had been a while since he called her.
Even after her wedding with Raymond, he never related with she and her family because of their background, and now he was calling her. She felt like she was sitting on an hot seat.
She reluctantly connected the line, “Hello dad”.
“Don’t call me dad, you pr-stitute!!!come to the blue house right now!!!” he disconnected the line.
Her heart was beating so fast as she remembered her experiences in the last two months.
She had dropped the movie and there had been chaos all over the media.
Fans had been dying to see her take the lead role of that Chinese movie.
Marky Leeves had told the wh0le world that she had dropped the lead role because she wanted to get pregnant for her husband!!!
It was a shock to everyone.
She had hurt Raymond too much for a long time.
She had cheated on him with that director in South Africa in the past and had been more concerned about her career than her family.

She drove to the blue house and met him in his office.

“I will sign the papers. After all I don’t deserve to be with Raymond. He has suffered too much because of me”
Raymond barged into the office, “What is going on here?”
The President fumed at him and pushed the laptop to him.
Raymond watched the video and looked up at Vanessa. “What is he asking you to do?”
“I want you to divorce her and marry someone better. I have two ladies in mind that will give you peace of mind”.
Raymond fumed, ” Marky Leeves sent you this video right?”
The man made eyes at Raymond and looked away, “That is not the issue now!!!”
“That is the issue because you are being manipulated,father!!! This is exactly what Marky wants!he knew you would react this way, he got paranoid when Vanessa cancelled her role in a trending series coming up soon because he had a plan I very much know about! A man that can record his k-ss with a drunk woman? does it show that he has good intentions?he wants to break our marriage!!!”
Vanessa cleared her throat, “I have something to say that you all didn’t know about”She ransacked her bag and brought out a sheet of paper with written contents.
She gave it to her father in law.
He staggered back as he looked into it.
Raymond snatched it from him and looked into it .
” You are two months, two weeks,two days pregnant!!! “Raymond and his father chorused with shock in their eyes.
” Who is responsible? “her father in law asked impatiently.
Raymond looked at his father with disbelief in his eyes,” You are the President of the country but you are only limited to political issues. What about entertainment news?you don’t watch or read about them at all? my wife cancelled a world trending movie because she wanted to carry our second child in her womb. That was what had made Marky Leeves paranoid and he decided to do everything to destroy our marriage.Father,you are not conscious of all these important things “.
There was relief in the president’s eyes, “Congratulations.I am happy you can get pregnant again”.
It finally occurred to her that,that step she had taken had saved her marriage.

They were excited that at the end of it all, they had found the right path.
Vanessa went into labour exactly nine months and two weeks.
She was in labour for two full days.
Her family members were present, even her highly distinguished mother in law was present.
They had booked an hotel close to the hospital and lodged there for the two full days that Patricia had been on labour.
The baby was finally released from her.
Her husband had been with her in the ward when she had struggled with life and death.
Her brother, James had been holding a prayer session in the waiting room with her parents and other siblings.
Vanessa gave birth to twin boys that had slipped out from her opening almost at the same time.
Everyone was overjoyed.
After so much struggle, she had given birth to twin boys that will protect Patricia, their big sister.
