Sean (Actually it was Sean not Anthony. Sorry for the error) was arrested by the police but he pleaded not guilty to the charges. It took weeks before Felicia could get back to her normal self and become strong enough to go for the court hearing. Two days before the hearing, Sean parents came to her home pleading to her to spare their son promising to compensate her for the damage their son had caused. They went on reminding her he was their only son and they weren’t ready to see him rot in jail.

“Your son ruined my life ” Felicia said feeling reluctant to accept the offer. “No compensation in this world can make up for what he had done to me. I understand your pain but it’s a shame you are unable to understand mine. Sorry but I have to ensure your son gets punished”

The Parents had felt she was a little harsh and swore to get him our of the case at all cost but unfortunately, Felicia had lots of witnesses to help her with her case so he was brought down eventually. Emerald was never heard from after she had left three weeks ago. Mr James though never showed it due to his pride but felt hurt on what was actually going on. Trying to make up for his mistakes indirectly, he gave his children the freedom they needed but still instilled the discipline in them. He tried stopping his pride and turning a new leaf knowing his earlier attitude brought him nothing but hurt. More and more hurt not only to himself but to his children and first wife. Arriving to his company few days later to start his business as if nothing had actually happened, he got a call from one of his managers stating that Emerald had actually made away with half of the company shared and had claimed one of the largest boutiques he owned. This got his completely devastated. His company suffered so much loss and soon he became bankrupt. Emerald was no where to be found and if ever she would be found, no one knew.

“Mr Jams, there is still hope for you ” His manager had let him know realizing he was thinking of selling his company. .

“What is that? ” He asked curiously.

“Helyn Textile industry is an industry runner by one of the best Textile manufacturing producers in Nigeria. She is in search of new clients meanwhile so she can help you”

“Helyn? Who runs that industry? I seem to have heard of that company… ”

“It’s no other than your former wife Mrs Lisa. If you really love your business, you will have to be partner with her” His friend explained fiddling with a pain. Mr James felt himself like a child. He felt he was just as useless had Lisa found him in the past. He had nothing when she saw him. He was completely broke. Now he was to approach her on the knees all over again to plead for her assistance. “I know it will be hærd for you… ”

“I will do it” He accepted the plan knowing he had no other choice.

Lisa had mixed feelings seeing her beloved husband one more time. Just the sight of him had reminded him of her two beautiful kids. She’d felt like yelling at him and asking him why he had been so unfair to her but she stopped knowing they had go be formal. When he’s explained why he came to her, she felt the pain in his voice. She knew something was going on but she had no heart to ask. She still had that fear in her to ask. She agrees to have a deal with him immediately and offered to have a coffee with him. The poor man got surprised but accepted immediately.

At the cafe, they sat on one of the empty seats which was just close to the music stereo. They were able to enjoy the music while having their coffee.

“Where are my children? “She asked sternly not bothering to ask how he was doing.

“They are fine” He replied calmly.

“It’s been a while since I have seen them. I want to unite with them”

“You can ” he respomded making her amazed.

“What do you mean I can? So you will let me be with my children? ”

“Yes. They actually don’t deserve a father like me. I have been too harsh on them lately. Because of my negligence and foolishness, Felicia was raped ” Lisa placed down her tea cup promptly as gasped in shock.

“Felicia was raped?! ” She asked in shock.

“Yes”He answered slowly with a guilty look.

“O! My God ” She exclaimed in shock.

“I can’t take care of them alone Lisa. It was my biggest mistake to have separated them from you. I want us all to live together again as we all had me. I want you into my life” He pleased. She seemed reluctant.

“I understand why you are like this but it won’t be so easy to forgive you or unite back with you as your wife”

“Of course you can. You are the only wife I have got after all”

“How about that Emerald? ”

“She was the reason my company crumbled. You are the only one I need in my life now Emerald. Please ”

“I will think about it. I just want to see my children and I will be doing that ghost weekend”

The weekend came much sooner than Mr James expected. He wanted to surprise the children by keeping silence about his wife’s arrival. The twins never expected it at all and when the woman arrived, Felicia couldn’t hold her joy. She hugged her mum tightly and felt tears run down her cheeks. Both mother an daughter had few emotional moments unable to control their tears. Lisa broke ghetto hugged and k-ssed her daughter all over the face still not believing her beloved angel was actually raped. She’d felt curious in knowing how it all happened but stopped herself not wanting to open old wounds. Felix stood at a distance staring at his mum non stop. Lisa got surprised wondering why he didn’t rush to her for a hug. Felicia understood and smiled.

“Felix mum is back. Stop being angry now” She advised him calmly. His mum fetches shattered understanding why he was that way.

“I understand why he is like this. I have been a bad mother and… ” she hadn’t completed her sentence when Felix rushed towards her and hugged her really hærd shedding tears which he hadn’t shed in years. Felicia stood aghast. His mum felt joy in her as she embraces him warmly.

“You shouldn’t have left me at all mother. You shouldn’t have” He said to her as if scolding her for leaving.

“I am sorry son. I promise never to leave you again ” She promised.

“Mummy are you here to stay now?” Felicia asked curiously.

“Actually your mum won’t be staying with us ” Her dad answered making the twins upset.

“Or maybe I am staying with you from now on” Lisa spoke up causing the children to yell with joy. The door opened up and her driver walked in with her luggage. Mr James couldn’t believe this.

“You listened to me” he told her all in smiles.

“I still love my family dear” She replied before giving him a wink.
