{ The Return }
“Wow! Eric does work fast” Dexter who had been watching both Beth and Eric commented beside Calvin.
“What do you mean by that?” Calvin asked turning his gaze on him.
“That dude is head over heels for Beth and he was reluctant to tell her until I told him to go for it” Dexter replied still having a childish grin on his face.
“And he is doing just that, Eric is the man” Dexter added.
Eric had told him that he isn’t interested in Beth, so what rubbish is Dexter spilling or could it be that Eric had lied to him and that he truly felt some thing for Beth? Calvin thought starring at them again.
“Don’t you think they look good together?” Dexter asked him.
“I don’t!” Calvin replied before walking off.
“I think they do” Dexter murmured giving Beth and Eric a last glance before walking off.

“I feel embarrassed” Beth said with her hands covering her face.
“Why, Is it because I caught you crying?” Eric asked.
“For everything. I must have look like a fool to you” She said which got Eric pulling her hand away from her face.
“You aren’t a fool for letting out your emotion. Crying some times do help the body” Eric added lightly.
“Thank you and am sorry for being a bother” she said.
“You weren’t a bother and am glad I could help though I know that even if I ask you won’t tell me the reason why you were crying” he said which got her looking away from him.
“You are right, I can’t tell you why” she replied thinking about Calvin.
“Fine then, I won’t force you to tell me but you should take care of yourself. Don’t cry too much and don’t bottle up your pain” he said ruffling her hair before getting up from the pillar.
“And before I forget, you should have this” Eric said putting the new phone he bought in her hand.
“Why are you giving me this?” Beth asked
“I….I told Jenny that you didn’t have a phone and she….she bought it for you saying it’s a token of her appreciation” Eric replied, making up a convincing lie.
“Am grateful to her but I can’t take this” Beth said putting in his hand.
“Why?”
“She already treated me to lunch and am satisfied with that. I can’t take the phone” she replied.
“So you want me to return it to her? She already bought it and it’s only right that you accept it” he said.
“Why don’t you just use it?”
“I have no use for it since I have mine already. If you still refuse then I will just have to leave it here, finders Keepers and….”
“Okay, okay, okay. I will take it” Beth replied which got her taking the phone from the floor.
“That’s good then, see you later and cheer up” he said having a triumphant smile on his face before walking off leaving Beth starring after him.

~ CAFETERIA~ LUNCH~
Lily push her food around wondering where Beth could be?
She remembered how Beth ignored Calvin earlier and wondered if some thing happened between them.
Her thoughts was too preoccupied that she didn’t notice Willow approach until he sat on the empty chair beside her.
“Hello pretty!” He said startling her.
“What are you doing?” She half yelled.
“To eat with you and also to continue our discussion of yesterday” he replied.
“I remember giving you my answer then” Lily replied.
“You did but I don’t think I can accept it. Can’t you see that you are the perfect girl for the role?” He asked.
“Why exactly do you need me to pretend to be your girlfriend and why do I fit that role?” She asked in return.
“Cause you got me hooked by your dancing skills on the very first day. You see Apart from working, my mom is also a choreographer, if she finds out that the girl am dating a girl who can dance just like she did in the past. She will gladly approve of you and will get my dad to end the engagement thing” he replied.
“And ?” Lily demanded.
“And I can be rest assured that you won’t blackmail me for money or some thing like the other girls might do” he added sheepishly.
“And what makes you think I won’t ask you for money?”
“You aren’t a girl that will stoop so low, poor girls often hold onto their pride since it’s the only good thing they have and so with your pride and……”
“You know, you were kind of getting some where until you added the poor girl thing. Is that what you think of poor girls?”
“What else can I think them of? It’s only their pride they’ve got ” he replied which got her pushing her food away.
“Then you must be a fool for having such thought in mind. Find some one else to do it, as you’ve said poor girls have only their pride to protect and so am going to protect mine. Stay away from me” she added haughtily before leaving the cafeteria while Willow wondered what he did wrong.
He didn’t notice Josephine who had been watching them before leaving the cafeteria.

Katrina walk past some students who whispered some thing at each other while laughing at her and it’s all because of her crazy acts on the night of her party.
Covering a part of her face in embarrassment, she got to their lounge only to see Josephine there.
“You bitch! How could you have done that to me?” Katrina asked referring to the drugged drink Josephine had left at the counter the other day.
“What did I do?” Josephine asked.
“The drink! I told you to give it to Beth but then you left it on the counter which I ended up drinking, you know I ought to kill you right…..”
“Will you just stop it! Can’t you ever look away from your trouble and see some one else?” Josephine yelled before turning away while trying to wipe off the tear that slip down her cheek.
“What’s going on?” Katrina asked.
“It’s Willow, he just won’t see that I love him” Josephine said explaining the whole thing to Katrina.
“So now, he fancies Beth friend and fails to recognize you?” Katrina asked which got her nodding in return.
“What am I going to do kat, I don’t want to lose him” Josephine said crying into her arms.
“Don’t worry, I will find a way to get rid of Lily. She won’t be taking Willow from you” Katrina said assuring her and that got Josephine feeling relieved.
Katrina was heading to Jason class since he kept ignoring her call when she noticed Lily and Beth getting into one of the empty labs.
“What are they up to?” She muttered even as she tip toe to the door to eaves drop on their conversation.
“You what?” She heard Lily ask.
“Am in love with Calvin ” Beth replied making Katrina gasp out from within.
“But you know that Calvin won’t…..”
“I know and that’s why have been keeping my distance but it hurts, it hurts trying to forget him, it hurts trying to keep him away from. I don’t know what to do ” Beth admitted and Katrina who had heard it all let out a triumphant smile before leaving there silently.
Pulling out her phone, she dialled Josephine number and after the second ring, Josephine picked the call.
“I know of a way to get rid of Lily and Beth and you only have to help me” she said with a evil smirk on her face.

~ CLOSING HOUR ~
“Please miss Beth, my job is to take you to school but if you keep refusing then I won’t have a job again ” the driver Calvin hired for her said.
“But can’t you understand that I don’t want to go back in his car, I’d rather use the bus” she said trying to leave but he obstruct her path.
“Please Miss Beth, I don’t know what might have ensued between you two but he gave me the order to bring you home and if I don’t do that, I…..please help me” the driver pleaded again earning Beth’s sympathy.
She would have agreed to go with him when suddenly some one took hold of her hand.
She turn only to see Eric beside her and the look on his face told her that he was angry.
“She said she doesn’t want to and so I suggest you tell your boss that” he said.
“And who are you?” The chauffeur asked.
“Me! Am a friend of hers whose name is Eric, make sure you tell Calvin that and also you should sort out your employment issue with him, he is your boss and not her. Let’s go” he said taking her to his car where his driver was already on standby.
It wasn’t until they were on their way that she realise some thing.
“What about Jenny, don’t you take the car with her?” Beth asked.
“I do but today Jenny left school early ” Eric replied and when she went back to starring out of the car, he quickly finish his text to Jenny.
★ TAKE THE BUS HOME, SOME THING CAME UP ★
with that done, he turned to stare at her and a smile formed his face when he saw her holding onto the phone he bought.
“I thought you would have thrown that away” he said which got her starring at the phone in her hand.
“I might be a bit shy with people giving me gifts but when I do recieve it, I treasure them. It would be a waste throwing this away and to be sincere, you got me the phone when I needed it. Thanks” she thanked, appreciating the gift he bought.
“Then I hope you will store my number” he said even as he called her number on his phone.
“That’s me calling, make sure you store my name” he said again and she nodded reluctantly wondering why Eric is being nice to her.
She was about to ask him that when the car stopped in front of the estate which resides Calvin home.
“You don’t have to take me in, I will get there myself. Thanks Eric” she said sending a smile his way.
A smile which got him feeling dazzled and lost.
He was still feeling lost even as the driver turned the car around, heading to his home.
Beth got to Calvin’s gate when she noticed a girl with a suit case standing in front of it.
Choosing to ignore her, Beth was about to go in when the girl called her.
“Hey you! Yes you!” The girl said with arrogance even as she urged Beth to come to her which Beth did reluctantly.
“What are you in his house?” The lady asked.
“Pardon?”
“What’s your task in Calvin’s house?” The lady asked again which got her wondering how she knew Calvin’s name.
“Am a maid here and…..”
“Oh that’s good! Help me with the suit case and…..”
“Why should I do that?” Beth asked cutting her off in return.
“Did you just ask me that?” The lady asked in return.
“I did and am sorry if am being rude but I don’t know you and if am a maid in this house it doesn’t mean it’s you am working for, so I suggest you call Calvin to come meet you here” Beth said turning to leave only for the lady to drag her by the hair.
“Who the hell do you think you are? How dare you give me an order! How dare you!” She yelled holding onto Beth’s hair.
The gate door open revealing Calvin who at once came running to help.
“Let her go Sarah!” Calvin yelled freeing Beth out of the lady’s hold.
And instead of letting her go like she expect, he held her to himself while he glared at the crazy lady whom he called Sarah.
“Good to know you are here, you’ve got to fire this maid, how dare she give me an order” she yelled moving towards Beth again but Calvin pushed her away.
“What do you want?” Calvin yelled at her and that got her calm.
“Is that what you say to me after not seeing me for years? ” She asked looking sad.
“Weren’t you the happiest when I was gone?” Calvin asked slowly.
“How can I be? How could you think such a thing. Am your sister, your flesh and blood. I would never thing such evil towards you” she revealed and that got Beth starring at him.
This crazy lady turns out to be his sister……
