CHAPTER 20.
🏃
.
The crown prince sat on his bed and so did the presence.

“Why are you trying so hærd to let her live!”

The crown prince shut his eyes.

“Stop trying to push me away!”

“I am tired of living like this” The crown prince sighed.

“You’re living perfectly fine, they are the abnormal ones, they are the invalid ones, they keep making us feel like we are not needed. Kill them a…

“Get out of my head!” The crown prince pleaded.

“Get out of my head!!!” He cried out loud smashing a portrait on the floor.

Rosanne got up on her feet, her heard turning towards the crown prince’s Window.
“What is going on up there…” She thought, as she dropped the flower she held and start to head in,side the castle.

Rosanne’s legs travelled up the stairs in haste, she could still hear the chaos coming from the crown prince’s room, and a wave of panic washed over her beautiful face.
She was scared, scared to appear in front of the crown prince and have her neck squished, but yet again, she wondered what was going on and if the crown prince was safe, she was his servant and his safety is in her hands.

Getting to the top of the castle, Rosanne could hear the thrashing from the crown prince’s room. Becoming louder and making her more frightened.
Rosanne pressed her back to the wall, afraid to take another step, that would lead her in front of the crown prince’s room.

“I said get out of my head!!” Rosanne heard the prince yell and she flinched.

The place suddenly got quiet, with only the racing of Rosanne’s heart beat.
She gulped like never before and took a step forward.
With all the courage left in her, Rosanne stood in front of the door less room and gazed at the place that looked like two bulls went into an angry fight.

Rosanne bowed her head when her eyes caught the crown prince walking back and forth in the room.

“Your H-highness… Are you okay.?” Rosanne asked, her voice Shaky.

The crown prince halted on his track and turned to her.

Rosanne slowly raised her head to look at the prince.
With his eyebrows furrowed and angry, he looked like he wanted to say something to her but kept his words to himself and looked away.

“I’ll be off then.” Rosanne did a curtsey and exited the doorstep, racing down the stairs, Rosanne placed her hand on her chest to feel her heartbeat

“He’s fine! Thank goodness!” She breathed out, as she made it to the ballroom.

“Then what was with all those noise from earlier”

Rosanne suddenly played the crown prince’s words in her head.

“I am an invalid, that is why I was discarded in this castle, for I’m not foolish, I know my parents are rulers of a certain kingdom and being their invalid son, they discarded me, I am ill, and I am aware that I am ill, do let me starve and let me die”

“How afflicted is his highness! I hope he gets better.” Rosanne shook her head.

Stepping out of the castle to get her flower crown done. Rosanne’s eyes slowly went to the green letter box at the side of the castle.
Believing her letter was still in there and untouched, Rosanne decided to see if what she believed was true.

Taking out the brown paper from the green box, Rosanne immediately recognised the Royal seal of Castle Orrander on the body of the letter.

“No way!” she gasped.
“My letter got to Orrander! That means father must have seen it.” Rosanne exclaimed gleefully.

“But why didn’t father write me back instead, why did it come from the castle.” Rosanne thought, slowly opening the letter.

Her eyes beamed at the familiar hand writing and she jumped happily. “it is father, father got my letter.”

Rosanne’s smile faded into a frown when she eyes danced around the words that almost messed up her head. She didn’t understand what was written down there.
Rosanne clenched her fist and shut her eyes in disbelief.

She almost let out a curse word, but held her tongue.
Why are women almost put in the wrongs? Rosanne thought.
“I really do want to know how to read and write” Rosanne sighed, as she stepped into the castle.

Contemplating whether or not to meet the crown prince and tell him about the letter, since he was the one who wrote the one she sent, perhaps he would push his hot tempered self aside and help her read the letter.
Rosanne gulped heavily and rolled her eyes when she realised, she wasn’t on the crown prince’s good side, nothing or nobody was on his good side. With his switching personality, she sure have a lot to study about him before approaching him.

Agreeing with the plan she suddenly formulated in her head, Rosanne closed the letter and nod to herself.

She would speak about the letter to his highness over supper.
.

“Your highness! Your Majesty!” Cornelius bowed before the king and queen seated comfortably as the main rulers of Orrander.
The queen has been stably happy ever since she found out her son manage to write a letter for his servant.

“Yes Cornelius” The queen smiled.

“Your highness, news from scholar and observer” Cornelius bowed.

“Really?” The Queen asked.

“Yes… According how far they have come, they believed the beast curse of Orrander can be broken!” Cornelius announced.

“What…!” The queen gasped in disbelief.

“And can also be avoided at an early age” Cornelius added.

“Tell me how can it be broken?” the king chimed in. And the queen nodded at his question, staring at Cornelius to spill the beans.
.
.
Rosanne made sure to prepare one of the finest meal for his highness during supper, slipping the letter behind her dress, she grabbed the tray of food and ascended up to the crown prince’s territory.
