The Cold Female – Episode 4

Three months. I stayed in an unknown place getting trained by a shadow. It was funny at first but it did teach me a lot. I got free from Raquelia and the first person I went to see was Mindy to have her fill me in on everything I’ve missed. Her house was a little duplex near a wood. Her husband was a botanist so the living close to a forest was understandable

Pius, she loves living in a forest area. Said it’s fun or something like her

‘Good evening, how may I help you?’ She asked politely immediately age opened the door. I frowned. I know I avoided her but that doesn’t mean she should pretend not to know me

‘Mindy yo can’t be serious!’ I said with disbelief

‘How did you know my…why does your voice sound so much like…Arabel!’ She exclaimed. It was then I remembered that I changed completely. My hair was pale white and my skin snow white. My l-ips were dark light blue and my eyes icy blue

‘Did you undergo a surgery without my knowledge?’ She asked frowningly

‘No, being indoor changed me a lot’

‘It’s so easy to believe’ she scoffed. ‘Never knew you could go for artificial instead of natural, I’m really disappointed at you’ she said upsettingly. ‘You disappeared for months and come back looking like a white haired snow white, Ara what is your problem?!’

‘Am I fired?’ I asked humorously

‘I’m being serious here!!!’ She yelled angrily

‘I really didn’t undergo any surgery, I swear on my hair’

‘And your eyes? Don’t tell me it’s a contact lens because I know it’s not’

‘Okay, it’s not. Will you believe me if I say I tried a weird eye substance and viola! This happened, it’s permanent’ I lied. She shrugged

‘I know you are lying but I won’t argue with you. The wh0le world will know that you did a surgery’ she shrugged

‘But I didn’t!’

‘I believe you but they won’t’

‘Can you please let me in now? My legs hurt already and the sun is way too hot for my delicate skin’ I said tiredly. She opened the door w¡der and I walked in

‘You look neat dear’

‘Thanks’ I smiled. I walked into the living room, wooden to the core. She has a thing for wooden life. I inhaled and on the chair

‘Need something cold to drink?’ She asked calmly

‘Extra cold’ I said happily. She went and returned with a glass of juice. She gave it to me and sat down opposite me

‘Mind telling me why you stayed alone?’ She asked sipping from her own glass of wine.

‘Honestly I’m getting tired of the wh0le celebrity thing, I want to quit and have a normal life’ I said honestly. She smiled

‘It’s about time!’ She exclaimed. ‘I was waiting for you to say it for months now, since that accident. Ara, this star life is not for you’

‘I know that now’ I smiled

‘So I call it off for you?’ She asked lowly

‘I guess so’

‘It won’t be easy but I will do it. I better get my résumé ready. I’m jobless’ she said jokingly. I giggled and looked away. ‘And you? What will you do?’

‘I already have enough money to start up something but for myself and I’m thinking a school…DANCE SCHOOL, yes! That’s the one’ I said excitedly

‘Sounds good. Guess I’m still not jobless because you are too lazy to do anything on your own’

‘So not true! I just love it when you do it. Yours is always better’

‘I’m blushing. Now let’s prepare to announce your retirement, I will advice you go see your family… There have been very worried, it took a lot of me to convince them that you were on a vacation’

‘I did leave then all a message, don’t know why they would overreact’

‘Arabel they are your family’ she said rolling her eyes. I chuckled and nodded ‘let’s go see them together? I’m bored’

‘Where’s your husband?’

‘Travelled’ she said sadly. ‘He’ll be back soon, I hope’

I smiled. At least she is out of my hair for now.

#Cyrus ‘s POV

‘Alpha, the beta male and female of Jin Ju Pack are here to represent their pack’ Dandy, my beta said with a bow

‘I will be there in few minutes. Tell my mother or sister’ I said lowly

‘Yes Alpha’

‘What about the other packs? Did they honor my invitation?’ I asked staring at my dad’s photo on the wall. It was his memorial day, I always hold it every year to honor him even in death. He was a great Alpha

‘They are here as well’ I couldn’t see his face because my back was turned to him but I could feel his every move

‘Even the Alpha of Imperial Moon Pride and Night Waver Pack?’ I asked calmly

‘Imperial Moon rejected as usual but Night Waver sent his beta and his younger brother’ he said politely. I nodded

‘You are dismissed’

‘Okay Alpha’ he went out. I sighed. I loved and still love my father, I did everything the exact way he did his, ruled the exact way he did. I earned respect but I still didn’t feel fulfilled or complete.. The feeling of emptiness in my life was huge, like a wormh0le

Maybe because I haven’t found my mate. Normally, my pack wolves all find their mates at seventeen to the least, twenty three but mine was different

I’m thirty four, it’s unusual but in my pack, we are respected by how fast we find our mates so imagine an Alpha not finding his. The only saving grace for me is that no one can say it to my face because I’m the second most feared Alpha

I better leave before mom comes over and pull me there by my ear. Really, she will. I walked out to the big ball room heaving with people, werewolves

‘You’re late’ mom said frowningly

‘Five minutes late’ my sister, Cyra said with an eye roll

‘Five minutes is very important’

‘So says the queen of punctual’ I murmured. Here it comes

‘Can you perceive your mate yet?’ She asked eagerly

‘Oh come on mom!’ Cyra exclaimed. She’s twenty three and already mated but recently. Mom gave her hell before she finally found hers so I was the only one left. She don’t get along well with mom, no one does! Sometime I wonder how dad coped with her

She’s so annoying and unavoidable!

‘Cyra have you seen Mindy?’ I asked ignoring her

‘Is Mindy your mate? She’s already happily married and you are here worrying about her’

‘Mom! I’m only worried about my best friend. Give me a break!’ I exclaimed dragging attention to myself

‘Your so called best friend abandoned our pack after she was married into another’ she said irritably. I s-cked in air between my teeth and smiled. I can’t yell at her, she’s my mom

‘Mom for once in your life, learn to let us be’ Cyra whispered. She gasped and knocked her head

‘Don’t talk to your mother like that’ she snapped

Like I said, super annoying

‘Okay, I’m sorry’ she apologized rudely and stomped away. I sighed and walked out on her too

‘Hey! Both of you, don’t move!’ She shouted. We are in the middle of a memorial service! can’t she behave herself for nine seconds!

I need a break away from her before she drives me crazy…before I lose my sanity!

Episode 5

Theme : mate!

#Cyrus ‘s POV

I packed some of my clothes Into the duffle bag hurriedly. I wasn’t being chased but I love doing my things fast. Mindy owed me a serious explanation for abandoning me like that…I thought we were best friends. Although that was the only excuse I could come up with to escape from mom

The sudden urge to leave was way too strong to resist

‘Are you sure you want to leave for a wh0le month?’ Cyra asked worriedly

‘I said two or three weeks Cyra’ I said with an eye roll

‘But I miss you!’

‘I haven’t left yet’ I laughed

‘I miss you already. Nathan have been too busy lately to attend to me what do I do now?’

‘Assist mom in taking care of the pack for me until my return’

‘Do you hate me that much? Work with mom!’

‘She’s not that bad Cyra’

‘So says the guy who is running away because of his mom who is not so bad’ she said ironically rolling her eyes. I chuckled. ‘I can’t even go to Taffy’s all she does is talk and talk, no full stop, no break!’ She said exasperatedly

‘That’s your own problem. I need to get out of here before mom returns and give me the lessons on how to resist human temptress’ I flung the bag on my shoulder and smiled. ‘Until we meet again Sunshine’ I k-ssed her forehead and cheek

‘If it comes to the worst, I will run away to grandma’s. Far away from mom. Did you know that she have started blabbing about grandchildren? I just found my mate!’ She exclaimed

‘Sorry love, I’ve told you to move in with Nathan and save yourself the stress but you wouldn’t listen’

‘If I move out, I will miss you’ she whined

‘Cyra, I love you as much as you love me but you need to stop clinging to me all the time. Nathan needs you, stop pushing him aside for me please’ I pleaded. ‘Take your things and go stay with him, if you are living in the same house, he will definitely find time for…sh*t! Mom is back’ I said painfully as I felt her cross back into the boulder. ‘Gotta go!’ I ran out of my room with my wolf speed to my car

‘Good morning Alpha’ Dandy greeted with a bow

‘Yea whatever. If my mom ask, I left before dawn’ I said hurriedly opening my car door

‘You will meet her on the way’

‘I will take the secret rout. Take care of the pack please, just in case’ he nodded. I closed the door and start the car. I drove off quickly

Avoiding mom is my number one policy

LA, I don’t really like this place much but she does. The traffic was irritating but I had no choice. Finally the traffic was over. I drove off slowly, out of nowhere, a little girl ran into the road, into my car

‘sh*t!’ I opened the door and walked out to her. I carried the unconscious girl up and looked around for any sign of her parents but none came. I took her to the car and dropped her at the back seat before getting in and driving off

I wanted to come see a friend and now I’m going to be spending the week in a hospital. She giggled. I looked over my shoulder and saw her sitting up, staring at me with her big silver eyes

‘You’re okay?’

‘I’m always okay’ she chirped. She took off her hood and played with her white hair. I stopped the car beside the road and sighed

‘Where do I take you to now? Where do you live?’

‘It’s my secret’ she whispered and giggled

‘Did you run into my car on purpose or what?’ I asked upsettingly

‘Yes’

‘Why!’

. ‘easy Alpha, I don’t bite’ she smiled. I stared at her in shock. She knows I’m an Alpha? Who exactly is she? ‘Who I am isn’t important but what I have to say. Your anger is the source of your powers but it will also be the reason for her destruction if you don’t learn to control it around her’

‘Her?! Who’s her?’ I asked quizzically

‘Her is who you wish to find and got. She is special and not like every other, mother of sacred being like me. Be careful’

‘I don’t understand a sh*t you are saying’ I huffed

‘With time you will, after you meet her’ I don’t think she’s a little girl but a spirit

‘I’m not a spirit, just a vessel’ she smiled

‘Stop reading my mind’ I murmured

‘Good bye Cyrus’ she winked at me and disappeared. I flinched and cursed under my breath

Humph

After some few minutes, I located Mindy’s. I packed the car and got out. Always so woody. I knocked on the door aggressively to annoy her. I smiled at her angry footsteps before the door flung open

‘Hello Stranger’ I said seethingly. She squealed and jumped on me. ‘No hugs, I’m mad at you’ I pushed her aside and walked in. The interior of the house was better than the exterior

The cute pink table, couch, the little pink vodio plasma…teddy bears and pink rugs! All wooden. The place smelt like snow and milk

‘Do you have to be so barbilistic’ I gro-ned. She chuckled

‘He’s not complaining so you have no right to complain’

‘The color is hurting my eyes’ I said complainingly

‘Too bad’ she flung herself on the big teddy bear couch and crossed her legs. ‘Look, I’m sorry I never came to visit or called. You know Chris is the jealous type, he was misunderstanding everything so I had to do something about it’ she said sadly

‘By cutting me off! Mindy we were friends from childhood! How could you let him break us like that!!!’ I yelled angrily

‘I’m sorry Cyrus, I beg for your forgiveness’ she said soberly

‘Forgiveness denied. You missed my birthdays, my dad’s memorials, m…’

‘I’m sorry okay!!! Now please stop yelling!!! My friend is sleeping upstairs’ she yelled

‘You are yelling’ I said calmly. She pouted

‘I’m really sorry Cyrus, please forgive me’ she said softly

‘I will forgive you only if I can get something nice to eat, I’m starving’ she smiled and nodded

‘I will be right back’

‘Can you please get rid of this snow and milk scent? It’s making me uncomfortable’ I huffed

‘Is your nose broken? You know I’m a strawberry kind of person’ she said frowningly. ‘Don’t tell me you have forgotten I hate milk’

‘But the house smells like snow and milk’ I said confusedly

‘Your nose is broken for sure’

‘But it’s n….your friend upstairs is it a male or female?’ I asked quickly as realisation hit me

‘Female, why would y…no way’ she gasped. ‘No no no! Not her!’ She exclaimed shaking her head

It has to be her

The words of that little girl reverberated in my head

‘It’s her’ I closed my eyes. The sound of gentle footsteps striding down the stairs caught my ears. A lady walked in sniffing the air confusedly. Her hair was white but not more than her skin and her l-ips and eyes blue. A strong royal and powerful aura surrounded her, like a powerful queen

Her eyes stopped at me and my wolf jumped around in Joy

‘We found our mate!!!’ He scre-med

#Ara’s POV

I tossed on the bed uncomfortably. I didn’t feel relax or chilled. Something felt off. Mindy and I returned from another interview, more on my retirement. I sat up and huffed

‘Gingerbread and cocoa’ I murmured. I thought Mindy didn’t like gingerbread? I flung the blanket away and stood up…whatever answer, I want a taste of that. I walked down the stairs gently

The scent didn’t smell like food, it smelt more like perfume but who would wear such a thing? I walked into the living room sniffing the air

I was salivating already. My eyes stopped at the sharp piercing blue eyes of a man. He was staring at me with a look I don’t understand. It was so obvious that the scent was coming from him. How did I perceive it from way up there?

He smiled at me and I stared back awkwardly, my cheeks heating up seriously. I was paralyzed by his eyes and the warm smile on his s€×y l-ips. Something was dragging me to him, to touch him allover to k-ss him. It was strange but I loved it. It was confusing and terrifying in a pleasurable way

I won’t forget to mention how crazily my heart was beating. I had never felt like that before or be so attracted to someone

I was certain I was going mad

Is this a winter thing or something? Why can’t I look away!
