Episode 12

“yeah you’re very lucky” Susan said with a smile. “you don’t know anything, may God forgive me, cause I am a bad girl, it wasn’t my fault” Susan thought.

Khalid ran to his room, he pick his phone from the night stand and dial Alexa number.

“why’s her number not recheable?” Khalid ask hiself he pick his phone and went out.

“hey” Esther said. “I will be right back, wait for me here” Khalid said.

he went to the corridor and dial Alexa number again. the number connect immediately and Alexa pick at the first ring.

“Hello Alexa” Khalid said. “Khalid” Alexa called happily and Kim stood up from the floor, and walked closer to her mother.

“Alexa are you there?” Khalid asked. “yes I am, where have you been?” Alexa asked.

“Am very sorry, I will be back soon, I will explain everything to you when I come back” Khalid said.

“mum give me the phone let me talk with uncle Khalid” Kim said. “give the phone to Kim please” Khalid said.

“Hello uncle” Kim said and gilgled happily. “hello aunty” Khalid replied. “Uncle this is not aunty this is Kim” Kim replied.

“yes I knew is Kim, how’s my baby doing” Khalid said. “Am not fine when are you coming back?” Kim asked.

“soon” Khalid replied. “not soon just tell me when you’re gonna come back” Kim said.

“Alright a day after tomorrow” Khalid replied. “Alright uncle I will be expecting you” Kim said.

“Alright baby give the phone to your mom” Khalid said. “Alright” Kim said and gave the phone back to Alexa.

“Alexa hope your friend gave you the gift I gave him to give you?” Khalid said.

“Are you the one that gave jack the necklace” Alexa asked. “yes, hope you like it” Khalid replied.

“I don’t like it I love it but the necklace is quite expensive” Alexa said.

“you deserve it, Alexa I need to go I will see you later” Khalid said. “Khalid thank you, I really appreciate you” Alexa said.

“you’re welcome, I will talk to you later” Khalid said and end the call. Kim jump up happily.

“my uncle is fine, I can now sleep, please make sure you call uncle jack tommorow” kim said and run to her room. Alexa shake her head. she stood up and yawned tiredly, and she went to her room to freshen up and sleep.

“Am sorry for the delay” Khalid said and smile to Esther. “There’s no problem, as far as you are here now” Esther said.

“Alright” Khalid replied. “it’s nice meeting you, I have been dieing to see you” Esther said.

“really?” Khalid asked. “yes I am happy you’re mine now” Esther said.

“you said?” Khalid asked. “I said am happy you are mine now, or don’t you like me” Esther asked.

“I like you, but I am not ready for what you are thinking about, I am not for anybody I am for myself alone” Khalid said.

“I will wait till you are ready” the lady said. “Suit yourself, let go in,side my room” Khalid said. “Alright” Esther said and stood up with her bag.

The next day.

Alexa drop Kim off at school and drove to her working place. “Thank goodness you came earlier, I was about to call you, your real boss is coming to this company tommorow and we need to plan a welcome party for him” Alexa boss said.

“Alright sir” Alexa replied. “Firstly we need to renovate this company before tommorow” he said.

“Alright I am always ready and I can’t wait to see the so called boss” Alexa replied.

“Jack and caro went to Kim school to pick her up and kim was more than happy to see jack.

“uncle welcome back, where have you been?” Kim asked. “Kim am around” jack replied.

“you’re around and you didn’t come to our house, why don’t you come to our house again?” Kim asked.

“Kim am sorry, I was very busy” Khalid replied. “Hi pretty” caro greet. “good afternoon ma, I think I have seen your face before” kim said.

“yes my dear, I am your uncle Khalid friend” caro replied. “oh now I remember you” Kim said.

“did you know her?” jack asked. “yes I knew her” caro replied. “she’s my friend I told you about daughter” jack replied.

“I never knew you are talking about Alexa all this while” caro said.

Alexa went to Kim school to pick her up she was surprised when the principal told her jack has came to pick her.

“Thank you” Alexa said to the principal and went out.

she get into her car and drove off. she was surprised to see jack and caro in her apartment.

“Hi” caro greet. “Hello, how are you doing” Alexa replied with a smile. “I never knew you are the one jack has been telling me about” caro said.

“jack where have you been” Alexa asked and jack fall on his knees.

“jack stand up, you’re embarrassing me” Alexa said. “let me remain like this” jack replied.

“jack stand up because I don’t understand the reason you’re kneeing down” Alexa said.

Khalid phone Rang out loud and he picked his phone from his back pocket.

“Hello who am I speaking with?” Khalid asked. “dummy so you want to tell me that you don’t have my number anymore” the caller said.

“Am sorry I don’t know who am speaking with, but the voice sounds familiar” Khalid said.

“Guess” the caller said. “Sam” Khalid said. “You’re not dull as I thought, it’s Sam” the caller replied.

“oh Sam long time man” Khalid said. “yeah how are you doing?” the caller asked. “Am doing good” Khalid replied.

“I called to inform you that am on my way to America” the caller said.

“you mean, you’re coming back today” Khalid asked. “yes buddy” the caller replied.

“so bad I am not in town now” Khalid said. “Where are you?” Sam ask. “Am at the palace” Khalid replied.

“Long life my prince” the caller said and they both burst into laughter. “you’re not serious, I will go back today because of you” Khalid replied. “Alright I will be expecting you” the caller replied.

“Alright I will be expecting you” the caller replied and Khalid end the call.

“Khalid rush into his room and pack his cloth. he called his personal guard on phone.

“Hello book the next flight for me” Khalid said. “My prince, where are you going to?” his guard ask.

“Am going back” Khalid replied. “But this week is your coronation my prince” the guard said.

“did you still need your job?” Khalid asked. “yes your highness I still do” he replied.

“Book the flight now if you still need your job and stop disturbing me” Khalid replied.

“Alright your majesty” he replied. Khalid end the call and ins**t his phone in his pocket.

he drag his bag out of the room and was surprised to see the king and Susan standing on his way.

“son where are you going to?” the king ask. “I need to go back there’s an emergency” Khalid said.

“which emergency is that, you’re not a doctor are you?” the king asked.

“Yes I am not but I need to attend to some important things” Khalid replied. “Things that are more important than your coronation right?” Susan ask and put her hand on her wa-ist.

“your highness let him go if he doesn’t want to stay, don’t force him,” the queen said.

“I am not talking to you, you’re not Khalid” the king replied her. “Father I promise to come back before the coronation day” Khalid said.

“Are you sure, you’re not lying to me?” the king asked. “I am very sure your highness” Khalid replied.

“You can go, but please come back as you promise” the king said.

“Thank you father, Khalid said and jump up happily.

“Father this is not our plan, remember I am the one that told you my brother is going back, why did you allow him to go?” Susan ask.

“Susan relax he has promised to come back, and am sure he will still go if I don’t allow him” the king said and Khalid stick out his tongue to Susan.

“This is unfair” Susan said. “Baby girl, don’t worry I promise to come back and make sure you arrange beautiful….. you understand now, before I come back” Khalid said.

“I will miss you” Susan said and hug him. the queen hiss and marched to her room Angrily.

“Your majesty, you called for me?” Esther said. “yes am very sorry if I inconvenient you, I called you to discuss something important with you” the queen said.

“you didn’t inconvenient me your highness, it’s an honor” Esther replied.

“I knew you love my son Khalid. I overheard you talking to him about your feelings, did you really love him” the queen ask and Esther smile.

“yes I do your majesty, but Khalid didn’t love me, he told he is not ready for a relationsh¡p” Esther said.

“Don’t mind him he loves you, he his just pretending, can you do anything to get his love?” the queen ask.

“Yes your majesty” Esther replied. “Good I will help you get Khalid and you will also help me” the queen said.

“Help you as how?” Esther ask. “I will tell you later, did you accept to help me?” the queen ask.

“yes as far as you promised to help me get Khalid” Esther said. “Alright I will see you later” the queen said. ”

Alright thanks your majesty” Esther said. “Take, use this for your transport” the queen said and gave her bundles of money.

“All this for me, thanks your majesty” Esther said happily. “This one is small compare to what I had in store for me” the queen said.

“Alright your majesty thanks, you’re so nice” Esther said. “One more thing don’t tell your friend Susan about our meeting” the queen said.

“Alright I won’t tell her” thank you very much your majesty” Esther said and stood up. “Such a beautiful lady” the queen said and shake her head.

“Jack stand up” Alexa said. “Let me remain like this please” jack replied.

“jack you’re embarrassing me, get out of my house if you don’t want to stand up” Alexa said and jack stood up immediately. “Alexa I am sorry” jack said.

” you’re sorry For what?” Alexa asked. “For lying to you, I am very sorry, I don’t know what came over me” jack said.

“Jack why did you lie to me?” Alexa asked. “i felt jealous of Khalid” jack replied.

“Jealous as how?” Alexa asked. jack look into caro eyes and caro signal him to go ahead.

“I love you and am afraid Khalid is gonna take you away from me” jack said. “Wait! you love me, since when?” Alexa asked.

“Since we were kids” jack replied. “why don’t you tell me about it?” Alexa asked.

“Am scared of rejection and I don’t wanna ruin our Friendsh¡p” jack replied. “Did you know you have just ruin it, because loving me isn’t enough reason for you to lie, you should have come out clean, you have done many things for me, even more than what Khalid did, why did you have to lie, am not sure I can’t trust you again” Alexa said.

“Alexa am very sorry please forgive me” jack said going down on his knees.

“Alexa you have to forgive him, we all makes mistake in this life and there’s always a second chance give him another chance please” caro pledged on his behalf.

Kim also knee down with jack. “Mum please forgive uncle jack” Kim said tears coming down from her eyes.

“I have forgiven him a long time ago I can’t get mad at him because he is the only family I have, but am not sure I can trust him again” Alexa said.

“Alexa thank you for forgiven me, and I will make sure I gain your trust again” jack said.

“Jack I love you but not like lovers, just see me like your sister” Alexa said.

“Alright I am happy you have forgiven me” jack said. “Thank you mummy” Kim said and hug her mother.

“Kim thank you” jack said and Carry kim. “Caro thank you for your time, you’re indeed a God sent” jack said.

“you’re welcome” caro replied. “Alexa am hungry what did you have in the house?” caro asked.

“I don’t have any cooked food in the house I am also hungry” Alexa replied. “Let me prepare something delicious for you guys” jack said and walk in,side the kitchen with Kim.

The next day.

Alexa boss walk into Alexa office with a man on suit. “Alexa” her boss called.

“Sir” she replied and raised her head up from her system. she was shocked to see the person near her boss.

“Alexa this is the real Boss” her boss said. “This is impossible” Alexa said. “It’s possible my dear” the person replied.
