Arya’s Pov:

Sofia and I were slowly becoming so close to each other.

We walked around the school together and she showed me around the huge school compound.

I couldn’t help but marvel….

The school compound is so big that one could get lost in it.

“This school is so big and twice bigger than my former school” I exclaimed as we shared a laugh.

“Yeah… It’s really so big” She agreed with me.

“Let’s go find somewhere to sit down Sofia…. Am already so tired of walking around” I finally concluded.

“Let’s go to the library” She said as I nodded my head.

I followed her as we walk towards the library.

We were still walking when she suddenly exclaimed.

“Oh my gosh…. Isn’t that Martin?” She gasped

“Who is Martin?” I fluttered my eye brows.

“That’s him” she pointed at him like she was actually dying for him.

I raised my head and saw him.

Well unfortunately our eyes met immediately I looked at him.

Like he was looking at me.

He looked extremely handsome……

“Oh my gosh! Those eyes of his” Sofia said as if he was a god.

I rolled my eyes.

“He is not that handsome” I grumbled as we walked past them.

“What? He is so hot can’t you see?” She gulped.

“He might be but not as hot as you guys describe” I rolled my eyes.

Martin’s Pov:

I watched her swerve her hips and walk away.

I tried so much to stop myself but I couldn’t help but stare at her.

The truth is that she’s really so beautiful….

I tried to tell myself otherwise but truth still remains that she’s stunning.

“See who is staring at her do much?” Idris laughed.

I only gulped as I looked away actually I’ve been staring at the almost disappearing figure.

“What are you talking about?” I managed to say.

“Come on Martin you don’t need to lie cos I saw how you were staring at her” Lucas burst into laughter.

“Will you guys stop it already? I don’t see anything that special about her” I lied.

“I know that’s how you are gonna react but the truth remains that she’s ravishingly beautiful” Idris scoffed.

“Well maybe for you guys but for me my Kim still remains the most beautiful girl in campus” I said those words with doubts.

“Kim might be really beautiful but the truth is that she’s in no way a match to the new girl” Lucas argued.

“As for me I don’t see that Kim of yours as beautiful” Idris rolled his eyes.

Idris have always hated Kim because he always told me that she’s arrogant.

Kim’s Pov:

“Kim the new girl is becoming the star of the campus in just one day” Anita my friend said.

“Honestly Kim you need to see how Idris was staring at her” Olivia added with sorrow.

Olivia have always had a crush on Idris.

“That girl is barely four hours old in the school and she’s already giving me problems” I muttered almost inaudibly.

“What do you say?” Anita asked as I shook my head.

“Nothing” I managed to say.

“What? You have nothing to say? Well for your information Kim hope you know your popularity is at stake here with that girl around” Olivia groaned.

“What are you talking about? That girl can never compete with me” I flared up.

“Well let’s see how that’s possible…. Come to think of it,,, she’s really beautiful and since Idris started eyeing her… Hmmm” Olivia sighed.

“I hope you know that Idris and your Martin are friends so since Idris has started eyeing her your Martin might be eyeing her too and…” Anita said as I quickly banged my fist on the desk as I quickly stood up.

“Quiet!” I screamed as they flinched.

Anger burnt through me and engulfed me.

“Never…. No one will mess with my Martin” I screamed as I gritted my teeth.

Am so gonna crush that new girl……

Aliyah’s Pov:

Arya was sitting on the couch watching TV with the remote control in her hand.

While I was at the dinning preparing some fruit salad for us as sandwich.

I poured the sliced assorted fruits into two plates as I walked to the refrigerator beside me.

I brought out the can of condensed milk as I poured it into each ot the plates.

I carried the plates to the sitting room and handed one of the plates to my Arya.

“This is for you baby” I said as Arya took the plate from me.

“Thank you Mommy” She said as she stirred hers and started eating.

We ate in silence until I broke the silence.

“So tell me baby girl… How was school for you today?” I asked hoping she likes it.

She dropped the plate on the table as she picked up a serviette paper and wiped her mouth before turning to me.

“You won’t believe it mommy! I already have a friend” She announced with so much excitement.

“Really?” I popped out my eyes in excitement.

“Honestly mommy…. It’s not really difficult making friends here in Capetown” She laughed.

“Which means the first day was superb?” I asked as she nodded with smiles all over her face.

“Very much superb! The school compound mommy is so big” She almost screamed.

“Are you for real?” I widened my eyes.

“Honestly mommy the school is so nice then my new friend’s name is Sofia and guess what mommm?” She talkatively asked.

“What? You know mommy is not a good guesser…. Am not good at guessing” I said.

“She’s in same class with me and we are of the same height and she has a brown long hair” She explained.

“Wow! That’s good to hear” I smiled.

“You know what mommy I think I like Capetown a lot now” She said as I hugged her tightly.

“Am happy you do my baby girl” I said as she nodded her head.

Picking up her plate,,,, she continued eating.

Thank goodness she isn’t having a hard time here else she would start thinking of going back to where we came from.

“You know baby we need to get some groceries first” I said.

“Oh mommy I don’t want to be home alone so am coming with you” She cried out.

“Alright finish up so that we will have to go together” I said as she jumped for joy.

Natasha’s Pov:

I was holding a newspaper and reading when the door creaked open noisily.

Patrick walked in with his school bag hanged on one of his shoulder’s.

He looked extremely tired as he took off the bag throwing it on the couch.

He sat heavily on the couch.

He can’t even greet at least… Am used to that by the way.

“How was school son?” I asked but instead of a reply I got a long hiss.

He looked at me and looked away.

“Are you insane Patrick? Am talking to you and you shouldn’t dare hiss at me?” I became very pissed off.

“Really? So what now mom? You expect me to jump up and hug you for putting me in that God forsaken school” He rolled his eyes.

“You should be grateful Patrick… A little bit of gratefulness won’t kill you” I shouted at him.

“That’s not what I want! I told you I don’t freaking want to go to school” He shouted back at me.

“Gosh! What kind of a person are you? There are people out there who will beg on their knees to be sent to school talk more of such a big school” I said.

“Who cares? I don’t want to go to school Mrs Natasha Rodriguez…. Don’t you get it? I want to own a gambling house that’s all” he ranted as he rushed upstairs.

“Will you come back here? Come back here right now Patrick…. Don’t you dare walk out on me” I screamed with warning tones but he walked away angrily paying me a deaf ear.

“Is this child of mine a punishment from God or a blessing?” I muttered as I sat heavily on the couch.

Arthur’s Pov:

I drove straight to the grocery shop….

I needed to get some items for Natasha from the grocery shop.

So from the office I drove straight to the grocery store.

I got down from my car and walked into the shop to get the items.

I shopped the stuffs as fast as possible with my mind still wondering how his first day at school would be.

I just hope that Patrick didn’t do anything silly in school today.

Cos I won’t hesitate to make him pay dearly.

I will forget that he is my son and make him pay dearly.

I was done so I paid to the cashier as my goods was wrapped and handed to me.

I walked out of the shop and straight to my car.

I got to the car and opened the car boot where I dropped the shopped items.

I locked the car boot and walked towards the front seat where I sat on the car.

Suddenly I spotted someone….

I think I saw ALIYAH……

Aliyah’s Pov:

Arya and I walked out of the grocery shop with lots of packages.

“You know mommy you almost forgot to buy the ketchup” She laughed.

“Oh yes baby girl! Thank goodness you reminded me” I replied as we walked straight to the car boot where we placed the stuffs we bought.

Arya walked into the car while I arranged the stuffs properly.

That girl of mine is really something else….

Her own load looks so tattered and stuffy.

I was still arranging when my eyes caught with someone’s.

The person quickly turned around as he saw me and that got me suspicious.

“Who could that be?” I thought inwardly.

Could it be a spy?

Then the man turned around again…..

Isn’t that him????

I rubbed my eyes as our eyes caught with each other’s as my heart skipped a beat.

“Arthur?” I called out in the lowest tone.

He started coming towards me.

I quickly rushed to the car and grabbed the door handle as I got into the car immediately.

I can’t let him see me or my daughter.

I hoped in immediately.

“Mommy are you ok? You look so stressed?” My concerned little daughter asked as I forced a smile at her.

“Am fine” I managed to say.

I quickly ignited the car engine and reversed as I drove off immediately.

I can’t let Arthur see my daughter or even me…

That monster he should never come back into my peaceful life again.

He should stay far away from my life cos it has been peaceful since he left me.

Or should I say since I left.

I zoomed off as Arya stared at me in shock.

The poor child won’t understand.

Arthur’s Pov;

I was so sure she’s the one in that black baby Jeep.

I rushed to my own car and hopped in as well.

She zoomed off as I reversed too and followed her up immediately.

I was trailing her but this time around the case is different cos she’s aware that am following her.

She has been in Capetown for such a long time?

I thought about the child with her earlier?

Could she be our child?

I really need to talk to her and talk things over with her.

I need to explain to her what really happened that particular time.

I was carefully following her so that I won’t miss her.

I can’t let her slip off my fingers this time around.

Just then,,,, my cell phone rang aloud.

Who the fvck is it?

I banged my fist on car steering wheel.

I turned to pick my phone up then before I could raise my head I didn’t see her car anymore.

I groaned in anger as I banged the car steering wheel severally.

“I lost them” I groaned.

No one important was even calling but that stupid Natasha.

Arya’s Pov:

I kept staring at my mom in surprise and confusion.

What the hell is going on?

She has always been the one who keeps lamenting on reckless driving.

Now she’s the one doing the reckless driving now huh?

She drove straight into our apartment as she speeded in.

I was still confused as fvck.

Why is she behaving like that?

What happened,?

I had so many questions on my mind but I couldn’t even ask her cos she was in such a hurry to drag me into the house.

“Mom…mommy what is happening? What’s going on?” I tried to find out from her.

“Let’s just go Arya! And please am not in the mood for answering any question” She snapped.

Mom quickly slammed the door noisily as she bolted it.

I scratched my head in confusion as mom rushed upstairs with the key……
