Kylie gazed at the blood on Jasper’s finger. She started shivering, she wants to s×¢k out the blood.

Jasper saw how she was slowly moving towards him.
He quickly opened the door and fell out of the car.

Kylie alight from the car and slammed the door hærd.
She tried to hold herself back, but she can’t.
She doesn’t know how to control her thirst.

She walked towards the s₱0t where Jasper fell but she didn’t see him there anymore.

She could see some magical trails and followed it.
She could smell his blood.

“Jasper, where are you?” She asked.

Jasper hid behind a log. He tore some piece from his cloth and tied his finger.

He could hear Kylie’s voice but he doesn’t want to come out.

He looked round. He doesn’t even know where he is.
He was lost.

“Oh Kylie, control yourself” he closed his eyes and prayed.

“Oh, there you are”

He shot his eyes wide open and saw her standing in front of her.
“Please, don’t kill me” he yelled and whimpered like a child.

Kylie laughed.
“I’m fine” she said.

Jasper stared at her and saw blood dripping from her mouth.
She licked the blood, that was when Jasper saw her fangs.

“Wow, Kylie, wow” he said and stood up.

“I’m sorry. Let’s leave now. I don’t like it here” she said, looking round.

“I don’t know where we are” he replied.

“Follow me”

Jasper told Elina what happened.
She wasn’t surprised. She knew that something like that would happen, but not too soon.

“She also smells and see people’s trails, more like footsteps” he said with a shaky voice.
He was still scared after today’s incident.

“We have to start training her tomorrow. I’ll get some witches to help with that”

“Okay mom. That’s more like it. I’ll be in my chamber now” he said and left.

Elina nodded and sat down.
“Kylie is getting stronger. That’s very good. She would be able to protect us” she said and smiled slowly.

Jasper walked into his chamber and took off his shirt.
As he walked towards his wardrobe, he saw Kylie standing there, staring her her.

He got frightened and started breathing hærd.
“Why are you scared?” She asked.

“I’m not” he replied and threw his shirt on the bed.

“I could listen to your heart beat” she said and walked closer to him.

“You just frightened me. That’s all” he said.

Kylie nodded.
“You are scared of me because I could get thirsty at any time huh?”

“No, it’s not that”

“I can read your mind also. It’s alright, I know you don’t want me here, nobody does” she said and turned to leave.

Jasper quickly grabbed her arm and they both fell on the bed with Jasper on her.
“I can’t let you leave”

“Why?” She whispered.

He just smirked and slowly drew his face closer to making it a k××sable distance.
She could feel his warm breath.

He pushed his l-ips to hers, s×¢king her lower l-ips.
Their tongues tangled with each other.

Jasper pinned Kylie to the bed and continued to k××s her passionately.

Kylie quickly withdraw back and panted.
“Why did you k××s me?” She asked.

“Because I love you” he replied.

“What?” She scoffed.

“Concentrate Kylie. It’s right here. You have to trace it’s smell even if it’s little” Tim said to Kylie.

Jasper folded his arms and then tucked his hands into his pocket.
It was still snowing lightly.

“What did you ask her to smell?” He asked Tim.

“She could hear us if I tell you. Just let her do it herself” he replied.

Kylie was devastated. She couldn’t get any scent of anything. She wasn’t given breakfast, only asked to come out for some training.

“I can’t find any dumb smell. Just cold” she said and rubbed her arms.

Tim walked towards her and touched her shoulders.
He drew his face closer to hers.

“Calm yourself down and trace it. You can do this Kylie. How do you track your preys?”

“Well, I’m hungry” she replied.

“Just do this and you’ll eat something afterwards” he said.

Kylie sighed and nodded.

Jasper watched from distance. He didn’t know why he hated the way Tim was touching her.
It was then he understood what Jackson was feeling that day he hugged Kylie.

Tim walked back to him and breath out.

Kylie shot her eyes tight and shot it back open. Her eyes turned crystal white.

She crawled on the floor as she sniffed in.
She crawled towards the left direction.

Jasper’s gaze followed her.
“Is she going towards the right direction?” He asked.

“Well, only one way to find out” he replied with a smile.

Suddenly, they saw Kylie walking towards them with a small dead mouse in her hands.

“Seriously?” She asked, giving them a what the f×¢k look.

“Nice, she pass the test. Next!!!” Tim yelled and went back into the hangout.

Jasper smiled at Kylie.
She gave a quick smile and looked away from him.
She still didn’t believe Jasper k××sed her yesterday.

“Okay Kylie, let’s move on to the next test”

She turned and saw a tall man with huge figure.
She swallowed hærd and smiled weirdly at him.

She was so hungry.

“You need to let everything in,side your head out. Think about nothing. Free your mind and body. Now tell me, what do you hear?” Oliver asked.

Kylie sighed and lowered her gaze.
She tried if she could listen to anything not no, she couldn’t.

“What do you hear?” He asked.

“Only my stomach rumbling” she said.

“Don’t joke now. Close your eyes and tell me what you can hear!” He almost yelled.

“Fine, I’ll try again. Just stop yelling!” She yelled back and shot her eyes.

She tried so hærd to concentrate.
Suddenly, she find herself in a garden.
A very huge beautiful garden.

“Now Kylie, tell me what you hear?”

She heard Oliver’s voice.

“I can hear the wind rustling. The birds chirping. I can hear the trees and the gushes of the water. I can also hear your heartbeat”

Oliver smiled.
“That’s good. You can..”

“Wait… I hear footsteps. And a man’s voice, asking what to do about the men in the dungeon?”

“And what’s his replied?” Jasper asked.

“He… He said to leave them there for plan B” she said and shot her eyes wide open.

She turned and stared at Jasper.
“I think it’s my father” she said.

Kylie was in her last test. She was furious after she heard what Bob was going to do about her father. She wondered what plan B was.

“I can’t believe she heard what was going on there. She could really hear to that extent” Oliver whispered to Elina and Jasper.

“She’s a demigod. What do you expect? Anything the vampires could do, she’s able to do double of it”Elina replied.

They all stared at her and saw her breathing hærd.
“She’s worried about her father” Jasper said.

“And she’s hungry. Get over with the last test and let her come in” Elina said and went in.

Oliver walked to Kylie and slowly touched her shoulder.
“Hey child”

“Hey” she replied slowly.

“Let’s commence the last test for today”

Some of the witches helped with the last test, they stood twenty feet’s away from Kylie and threw snowballs at her.

“At this test, you should be able to know and see how fast you are and also sense danger, well, that’s if you can. From different angles, the witches are going to threw snow balls at you. You mustn’t let them touch you” he said.

“Got it!” She said.

“Start!” Oliver yelled.

Kylie dodged every ball that flew to her direction. She was very fast.

She even used her hands to beat some down.
Everything just happened quickly.
She was also enjoying the game but not forgetting the hunger.

Oliver checked the timer.
“Two minutes more!”

Jasper watched with keen interest.
“I wish I was a demigod” he said.

Oliver stared at him and laughed.
“You’ve been watching her, what’s up with you two?” He asked.

“Nothing. We’re just friends” he replied.

“Really?” He asked.

“Sure. Just friends. What do you think we are, dating?” Jasper asked.

Oliver nodded.
“Yeah, something like that” he smirked and walked towards them.

“Time out, time out!”

“I also wish we were” Jasper said to himself.

“Good job Kylie. I don’t even know if a ball touched you because I didn’t see it. You were super fast. Nice!”

“Thanks Oliver” she said and turned to leave.

“You can all leave!” Oliver said and also walked behind Kylie, following her in.

Suddenly, Kylie sensed danger and quickly turned.
She caught something that was moving close to her head with full force.

Everyone all stopped and stared at her as she opened her hand.

They saw a pen knife on her hand.
Someone was trying to kill her.

“Who threw this?” Oliver yelled.

Nobody spoke. They kept quiet and looked at themselves.

💋 Chapter Thirty Seven 💋

Oliver took the penknife from Kylie and walked towards them.

“I ask again, who threw this?” He yelled.

They shook their head.
“It wasn’t me”

“I didn’t do that”

“I don’t even like knives”

They made excuses.

Kylie was furious. She looked round if there was any vampires spies but no, they weren’t.
She tried to hear if someone was out there.

She shot her eyes and strained her ears.
She could hear everyone’s heart beat but one particular one was beating fast.

She raised her head and saw that it was Hailey. One of the twin.
She gazed at her but she quickly diverted her eyes from Kylie.

Kylie knew she was the one.
But why? She seemed so nice and innocent.

Jasper walked towards Kylie.
“Are you alright?” He asked.

Kylie nodded.
She turned and went into the hangout.
.
“If you are trying to harm Kylie, you are making an enemy. She is harmless. Why trying to kill her. Whoever did this, I’ll find you soon” Oliver said and threw the knife away.

He gazed at all of them and went in.
They started murmuring among themselves.

Miley pulled Hailey to a huge tree and freed her.
“What were you thinking? Why did you throw the knife?” She whispered.

Hailey folded her arms.
“You watched you training Miley. She is powerful, making her dangerous. I don’t hate her but I hate the fact that she’s a vampire”

“Oh, just because your vampire boyfriend died and it was her mother’s fault. You should support our kind and not your vampire boyfriend. Besides, he never even loved you” Miley said.

Hailey frowned.
“I don’t care what it takes. I’ll make sure I kill her before she tries to kill us” she said and walked away.

“Hailey! Hailey!” Her sister called but she did not stop or turn back.

Elina watched as Kylie played with her breakfast. She was hungry then but she suddenly lost appetite when she knew that one of the witches wanted her dead.

“Kylie, you haven’t eaten anything?” She said.

“I think I’ve lost my appetite” she replied slowly.

“You should not worry too much. I’ll protect you. Maybe, the person who threw that knife was just testing you” she said.

Kylie angrily slammed her hand on the table.
“What if they wanted to kill me? Some of them don’t want me here”

“Come on Kylie. Don’t think like that. I’m your mother, you said so. This is also your home as long as you are part of our kind” Elina said calmly.

Kylie sighed and lowered her gaze.
“I’m sorry, I was just angry. I didn’t believe someone here could do this to me”

“Did you know who it is?” She asked.

Kylie turned to look at Miley and Hailey.
They were chatting and having fun together.

She stared back at Elina and shook her head.
“No, I don’t know who did it”

Elina nodded her head.
“I promise that it won’t happen again” she said and left.

Kylie stared at them again, this time, she caught Hailey staring at her.

She quickly took her face away and blinked repeatedly.

Kylie was still wondering why Hailey wanted to kill her. She needed to find out.

She strained her ear and listened to her conversation.

“I think she know that I was the one who threw the knife” Hailey said.

“How do you know that?” Her sister asked.

“She has been staring at me lately” Hailey said softly.

Miley sighed and peeped at Kylie.
“You should stay away from her. Just don’t try to harm her, she’s nice and like Oliver said, harmless. I don’t see any form of aggression in her”

“What if she’s just pretending? She is just learning how to use her powers so that she cod use it against us later” Hailey said like she was getting more angry.

“Shut it Hailey, that’s enough. I’ve warned you and that’s all I can do. Stay away from her and don’t try to harm her”

“Whatever. I don’t know what you seen in her” Hailey rolled her eyes.

“She is special”

“Tch…” She scoffed and walked away.
“Special my foot” she murmured.
.
Kylie heard everything. She looked at how Hailey walked away from Miley.
“What’s she planning next?” She asked herself.
.
.
Jasper was with Kylie. They were learning some spells in his chamber.

“See, you are getting it. Now chant the word and see what happens next” he said.

Kylie nodded. She closed her eyes and chanted what Jasper thought her.

Immediately, the potion they made turned to different color.

“Wow, it’s so beautiful” she said.

“Yeah, but I need to cast stronger spell. Something much more better”

“Fine. We’ll do a protection spell. Let’s go to the spell room”

As they stood up, Kylie fell. She started shaking on the floor like an epilepsy patient.

Jasper stared at her.
“Kylie! Kylie! What’s wrong?” He yelled.

Kylie continued to shake. She didn’t say anything.

“Mother! Mother!” He yelled.

Elina ran into his room and saw Kylie.
Immediately she touched her, she felt something.

“Someone is trying to kill her and the person is a witch” she said.

Jasper squeezed his face and stared at his mother.
He didn’t understand what she was saying.

“A witch? Who would want to do that?”

“I don’t know Jasper. Fast, go check if someone is casting a spell” Elina said.

Jasper stood up and quickly ran out. He looked round but didn’t find anyone.

He went to the spell room but still didn’t see anyone casting a spell.

She decided to check if he would see anything outside.

As he walked towards the door, he heard someone chanting some spells.
He slowly walked towards the person’s chamber and saw Hailey chanting a death spell.

It was a very strong one because the salt she used to draw the anchor sign was very thick.
He quickly walked towards her and break the spell by spoiling the salt drawing.

Hailey quickly stood up and stared at Jasper.
“Why did you?”

“So, you were the one doing this. Why? Why did you want to kill Kylie?” He asked.

She lowered her gaze and started breathing hærd.
“Hope you won’t tell Elina. She would be very furious”

“No need for that. I already saw everything” Elina said as she walked into her chamber.

She walked towards Hailey and slapped her hærd.
She pulled her out to the hall and humiliated her.

Kylie stood there staring at Hailey.
She was really furious and weak.
The spell would have killed her but she was strong.
Her powers helped her.

Everyone came out to stare at how.they humiliated Hailey.

Miley ran to Elina and knelt down before her.
“Please mother, don’t harm her. She is just a little one”

“I won’t. I will let Kylie take her own decision on Hailey” Elina said and stared at Kylie.

Everyone diverted their gaze to Kylie.

She slowly walked down the stairs and stood in front of Hailey.

“I know you hate me but I don’t know why. But I’m sure it’s not only you”
She said and turned to stare at everyone.

“If you hate me, kindly raise your hands”

They stared at each other but didn’t want to answer.
They were scared.

“I asked a question!!!” She yelled as her eyes turned red.

They saw it and got frightened.
The people who hated her started raising their hands.
It was almost half of the clan.

Her eyes slowly turned back to normal.
She smiled and nodded her head.
“It’s alright. I’ve seen you all that hate me. I won’t leave this place because you hate me. I’ll advice you to stay away from me while I do same. And as for you Hailey, I thought you were a good person. I was like, out of everyone here you and your sister were the first people to accept me into this place. You treated me as a friend but you now you are doing this”

“I’m sorry. I’m just…”

“I don’t want want to listen to you!” She said and raised her up but her neck, choking her.

Jasper panted and touched her shoulder.

She let go of her and watched as she fell on the floor.

“I promise. I won’t harm any one of you if you treat me as family. Because I have vampire’s blood running through my vein doesn’t mean I’m them” she said and left.
