Matilda’s pov 👠

“What’s going on here?” I asked as I rushed into Jack’s apartment.. Marcus followed me.

I was in the office when I got a call from the police, informing me about Jack’s involvement in a rape case.

My eyes scan the room, Jack is sitting in a corner with handcuffs in his hands.. he looked like he was beaten to stupor.

“Are you Miss Spears?” An officer asked me.

“Yes!” I answered and turned to the officer.

“We’d like you to come by the station later for some paperwork!” He said.

I frown, just then Graham walked in with a very angry Mr Statham behind him…what are they doing here?

“Officer, I was told on phone that my cousin is involved in a rape case…”

He stares at the dagger in his hands but nods to let me know he’s listening.

“… I would like to know who the victim is, can I?”

He nod and lift his head, from the corner of my eye I see Marcus walk towards Mr Statham.

“Your cousin raped a.. Miss Lopez!”

I stilled. Miss Lopez?! My head turned towards Jack, as my mouth falls open in disbelief.

“Miss Lopez?!” I asked, still staring at Jack.. no, I’m glaring at him right now.

“Yes, that is her husband…”

The officer points at Mr Statham, who’s talking to another officer angrily… Marcus seems to be holding him back.

“… so, we’ll be taking Mr Spears with us to the station right now.. er, excuse me!” The officer said and walked towards Mr Statham.

I turned my gaze to Jack, I stormed to him and land my hand on his cheek.

“What did you do?! Why did you rape Anna?!” I growled in his face.

He kept quiet, he didn’t utter any word.

“How could you do this to Anna?! Of all people, Anna?! Your best friend?!”

“I just wanted to make her understand I’ll be a better lover than that clown… I just want her to feel my love…”

I cut him off as my hand land on his cheek again, backhanding him and making his l-ips bleed.

“What silly excuse!! You’re a fool, you don’t love her.. that’s not love!”

I pass him a disgusting look, I got up and rub my forehead.

“I’m so ashamed… I’m so disappointed to have you as my cousin!”

Just then I heard Mr Statham barking out in great anger.

“I. Don’t. Care! I. Just. Want. That. Son. Of. An. A**h0le. To. Rot. In. Jail!”

I walk closer to them to hear more of their conversation, though I take cautious steps closer.. who knows, Mr Statham might attack me since my cousin…

That’s not something I wanna say.

“Mr Statham, calm down, we’d like if you bring your wife to the station…. ”

“Bring my wife to the station to do what?! To see this motherf**king piece sh*t?!” He growled in the officer’s face.

Marcus pulled him back, and whispers something in his ear.. Mr Statham glares harshly towards Jack.. I can tell he’s ready to send Jack to his grave right now.

“…but we need your wife’s statement!” The officer said.

“I can give you a statement in place of her!”

The officer shake his head.

“Mr Statham, you’re not the victim, you won’t give an accurate statement!”

“My wife is receiving treatments right now and won’t see anyone, she is not in her right state of mind to give any statement now!” He said firmly, like he’s not gonna explain further.

The officer frown deeply, Marcus clears his throat and speaks.

“Hi…I’m barrister Aurelius!”

He dips his hand in his pocket and pulls out his card.. he shows it to the officers and keeps it back.

“Officer, what my client is saying is.. you can take the accused with you to the station today.. my client’s wife is taking treatments now and won’t be available to give you a reasonable statement… ”

The officer nods.

“… we’ll visit the station another day to give her statement!” Marcus concluded.

“That’s fine, barrister Aurelius, we’ll keep in touch!” The officer said.

He nods at his men and they drag Jack out, he was looking at me as if asking me to come with him.. but I look away from him.

He’s such a disgrace, I can’t believe I have such a disgusting human being as a cousin.

“Nicky, you should go back to Anastasia now… ”

“I’m not going back to that house now!” Mr Statham cuts Marcus off.

He walks out towards his car and we followed him.

“Then she’s at home? All alone? You left her unattended?!” Marcus asked.

“I didn’t leave my wife unattended, ok… Rhoda is with her, I called her before leaving.. she’s a doctor, she’d know what to do better than I”

Marcus nods and I breath out in great relief, I thought he left her alone.

“But she still needs you to be by her side, she’s kinda traumatized after this”

“I know, but I’m afraid I was too angry and said some very mean words to her… I don’t wanna see her now, I might say more…you know I’m not good with words!”

He opens his car and brings out a bottle of beer, he pops the cover open and take large gulps.

“I thought he was her friend, how could he do this?!” Marcus wonders.

Mr Statham’s eyes lands on me, he frowns at me and I flinch back.. I hide behind Marcus.

“Miss Spears, you’re her best friend, I believe she’d want to see you.. please go over to my place and take care of her!”

Oh! I thought he was gonna scold me for Jack’s sins… He opened his car and slides into the backseat.

“Hey, Nicky, where are you going?” Marcus asked him.

“To cool off!” Was his reply.

Marcus turned to me and hands me his car keys, he leans forward and k-ssed my forehead.

“I better go with him to make sure he doesn’t do anything stupid… He might go to the station and kill Jack!”

I nod, he rushed into the backseat too and I watch as Mr Statham’s driver drives off.

“Jack! That bast*rd!” I growled.

Anastasia’s pov 👠

“Anna, are you done?” I heard Rhoda asked from the living room.

She had rushed here immediately Klaus left, I knew Klaus called her… He’s mad at me but he still cares for me.

I’m currently in our room, I just took a medicine Rhoda gave me and I am done freshening up.

“Anna?”

The door open and Rhoda walks in, she sits beside me on the bed and wipes my cheeks.. I have been crying non-stop.

“Why are you still crying, Anna?”

“Rhoda, he’ll hate me, he’ll break up with me… ”

Rhoda shakes her head in denial of my words and wipes my tears.

“I know my brother, he’s just angry now but he’ll never, I mean even in his wildest dream.. he’ll never break up with you!”

She’s just saying that, the Klaus I spoke with a hour ago is gonna break up with me.. he said he’ll consider breaking up with me.

“I have done some check ups, you’re fine… we’re just waiting for you to pee out that jerk’s sp**m!” She said.

I nod, she said the drug she gave me would flush out Jack’s sp**m before it will affect an egg…though I took those after pills two days ago.

“Give me your hand!” She said.

I stretch out my hand, she takes out a syringe needle from her bag and injects me a yellowish liquid.

“What if I don’t pee out his sp**m? What if I get pregnant for him?” I asked in a panicked voice.

Rhoda laughs lightly, she throws an arm around my shoulder and hugs me sideways.

“Don’t be scared, you have a doctor sitting next to you and you’re scared?”

I simply stare at her.

“I’m here, I’ll make sure you it out.. just wait for some seconds, the drug will soon take effect”

I nod and starts praying in my heart for the drug to take effect now.

“This is my fault, I shouldn’t have gone to Jack alone… I wasn’t thinking straight.. I just thought he’s really dying, I didn’t know.. I swear I didn’t… ”

She hushed me and wipe my tears again.

“Stop crying, I’m here for you.. your sister-in-law is here, I’ve got you covered”

“But Klaus…. ”

He’s blaming me and he’s left angrily, what if he doesn’t come back? Or what if he chase me out when he gets back?

“Anna, forget about Klaus, he’s just feeling heartbroken and honestly… ”

She takes my hands in her.

“… witnessing the scene where your beloved got raped is even more traumatizing.. it makes the man feel useless and I believe that’s exactly how Nicklaus is feeling right now… ”

He’s feeling useless? But he tried his best, there’s no way he could have easily broken down that door!

“… he’s blaming himself for not being able to be your knight, he’s feeling frustrated that’s why he left.. he’ll come around when he’s calm down, ok?”

What can I say or do, I simply nod absentmindedly.

“And when he gets back, don’t remind him of this.. just let him be today, tomorrow you can both talk about it calmly”

“Thank…. ”

“Tasia! Tasia! Tasia!” Matilda scre-med from the living room.

I wanted to go down, but Rhoda stopped me.

“I’ll get her!” She said and head out…she shut the door gently behind her.

It didn’t take long before the door burst open and Matilda rushed in.. she pulled me into a tight hug.

“Oh my God! Anna!”

Seeing her just seem to remind me of Jack and I don’t know why.. I broke into tears again.

“I’m so sorry, Tasia, I’m so sorry!”

I pulled away from her and shake my head.

“It’s not your fault, I’m just…” I choke on my tears.

Thinking about that scene makes me feel dirty, even though I just took my bath… I still feel dirty.

“Tasia, don’t think it’s your fault cause I know that’s what you’re thinking right now..”

Everyone said it’s not my fault but it’s my fault! I don’t know why I keep thinking maybe if I had picked Klaus’ call, this would have been averted one way or the other!

“… It’s that bast*rd’s fault, he took advantage of your kindness and friendsh¡p!”

“Yeah, Matilda is right.. you didn’t do anything wrong, you only thought your friend was in danger and you went to help!” Rhoda said in support of Matilda’s words.

“But Klaus doesn’t think that way!”

I don’t care about what anyone says, I don’t care about their opinions… I only care about Klaus’ opinion! I only care about what he thinks and how he sees me!

In his eyes I’m a fool, in his heart he wants to break up with me!

“Klaus thinks this way, he knows it’s not your fault and he’s not blaming you!” Matilda said.

“Really?”

“Yeah, you should’ve heard how he kept referring to you as his wife… You didn’t witness how he kept protecting you, I swear he’s ready to kill Jack to avenge you if he’s given the chance!”

Hearing these words from Matilda makes me a little bit relief, but how did she know this?

“I know that look…” She said. “I got a call from the police and I rushed down to Jack’s place.. that’s when I saw Mr Statham going down on the officer’s face!”

That means he cares for me, right?

“See? Anna, I told you, Nicklaus would never think of breaking up with you.. just give him some time to take in everything that happened!”

I nod, just then I felt the urge to pee and I sprint up and rushed to the bathroom…

Peeing doesn’t usually take time, but mine took quite some time this time…when I’m done, I saw a lump of white substance floating on the top of my pee.

I called for Rhoda immediately and she checks it, she turns to me with a smile.

“That’s his sp**m!” She said.

I take another look at it and stares at her quizzically.

“That’s it?!” She nods. “Just that lump?!” She nods again.

My eyes closed involuntarily, I take a deep breath and breaths out in relief… At least, I don’t have his sp**m in me anymore, I feel less dirty now!

“I didn’t know it’s possible to pee out sp**m that’s already in you!” Matilda thinks out loud behind me.

Her words makes sense, I nod and turn to Rhoda questioningly.

“It’s possible only if…” She cuts herself off and smile.

“Only if what?” Matilda and I asked.

“… You’re pregnant!”

“Huh?!” I exclaimed in horror.

She nods with her smile still on, I exchange looks with Matilda.. she has the same expression as I.

“You’re already pregnant which is why this sp**m is useless.. there isn’t any available egg for it, so it was still floating in,side you!”

I shake my head.

“I’m not pregnant!” I said.

I’m on pills, those after pills are very effective according to Matilda… Rhoda raised an eyebrow at me.

“When are you having your period this month?” She asked.

I paused and think about it briefly, I count the dates.

“It’s today!”

She nods.

“Well, you just pee out his sp**m.. let’s wait and see if you’ll get your period before the end of today.. if not, you should get yourself ready for a pregnancy test!”

I can’t be pregnant, I’m on pills, I made sure I take one pill immediately after having s£x with Klaus.. so I can’t be pregnant.

“Em… I’d love to stay longer but I’m still on duty, since Matilda is here.. I believe she can take care of you”

Matilda and I nod… Rhoda walks back to the room and we followed.

“I should head back to the hospital now, remember I have a dinner to attend tonight!” She said.

Then I remembered her diner with doctor Hemsworth, he’ll clear the misunderstanding between them today… I better don’t hold her here.

“Also, congratulations, I know you’re already carrying my brother’s child!”

I mentally rolled my eyeballs, if only she knows that’s not possible.

“I’ll call to check up on you later!”

“Ok!”

“I’m off, please stop crying and get some sleep.. Nicklaus will come around!”

I nod, she waves me and head out. I slump onto a couch in the room and throw my head back.

“Do you think she’s right?”

“Right about what?” Matilda asked back.

“That I’m already pregnant, is it possible to get pregnant when I’m taking after pills?”

Matilda sits next to me on the couch.

“Nope! I believe Dr ghost’s drugs!”

Now that I have pee out Jack’s sp**m, I think Klaus will be less angry with me.. we sit in a comfortable silence until Tilda broke it.

“Does aunt know you got… ” She swallows her words.

But I already know what she wanna say..

“No! She doesn’t know and I don’t want her to even find out!”

She doesn’t even know I’m no longer a V-rgin and that’s one of the reasons I don’t wanna get pregnant…

I don’t know how she’ll take it if she finds out I got raped, she might suffer from stroke or heart attack.. which is something I can’t afford!

“Jack really f**ked up big time! I didn’t expect he’d do something as nasty as this!”

“I didn’t expect that too!” I whispered weakly.

Silence engulfs us, until I start feeling my eyelids getting heavier… and closing slightly.

“I guess those drugs and injections are working now!”

I nod slowly.

She helped me up and walk me towards the bed, then she tucks me in.

“Get some sleep, I’ll be here when you wake up!” I nod and close my eyes.

I allow sleep take me.

Authoress’ pov 👠

“Ok! That’s enough!” Marcus said.

He snatched the bottle of beer from Nicklaus and keeps it in a corner..

Nicklaus reached for another bottle, but Marcus also takes it from him.

“Gimme!” Nicklaus said.

“No! You’ve had eight bottles already!”

Nicklaus laughs.

“But I’m not drunk yet, I wanna get drunk!”

“I know!”

It’s true, he’s not drunk yet.. he wants something stronger that would make him get drunk, but Marcus wouldn’t allow him.

He kept ordering beer for Nicklaus.

“I wanna kill him! I wanna send him to hell myself!” Nicklaus said.

Marcus knows who he’s referring to.

“Why didn’t you take her to the hospital, instead you took her home!”

Nicklaus paused and stared at him briefly.

“Who? My wife?” Marcus nods. “Taking her to the hospital will only add to her trauma, her staying at home will make her feel safe…”

Marcus nods at his words.

“.. that’s why I called Rhoda to go check her, since she is familiar with Rhoda she will feel safe with her!”

“You’re right, but she will feel safer if you’re with her!”

“No! I can’t face her right now…I don’t know what to say to her, I.. I.. already hurt her with my words, I don’t wanna hurt her more… I think I need some alone time!”

He reached for a bottle of beer and Marcus didn’t stop him this time, he simply watch as Nicklaus gulps down the beer.

Just then a barmaid who was passing by almost lost her balance, she grabs Nicklaus’s shoulder to support herself.

Although, Nicklaus felt her touch, he didn’t react.. rather he helped her regain balance.

“Thank you, sir!” She thanked him with a smile.

“It’s nothing!” He replied and she walked away.

Marcus gaped at him, his mouth wide open and his eyes bulging out of their sockets.

Nicklaus is so focused on his beer, that he doesn’t pay attention to Marcus’s expression.

“Nicky, did you realized what just happened?!” He asked.

“What happened?” Nicklaus asked nonchalantly.

“You touched a woman!”

Nicklaus paused and look up at him with a frown, he replayed what just happened in his head and looked down at himself.

He touch his neck.

“You don’t have any reaction!”

“No rashes?!”

Marcus shakes his head.

“No red s₱0ts?!”

Marcus shakes his head again.

“What’s going on?!” Nicklaus asked.

Marcus grins widely. “You’re cured, Nicky!”

“I’m cured?!” Nicklaus asked unbelievably.
