CHAPTER 67&68…. 💜

“dad” Kira soft voice called out. Her dad paused and ran over to her hugging her and so did her mom.

“Where have you been kira?” He asked worriedly and Kira didn’t know how to answer that question. She couldn’t tell them she was with a complete stranger. That would be awkward.

“Just taking a stroll” she said instead and wanted to limped away. Her parents noticed the limping but decided to keep quiet about it. If they asked, Kira might not even tell them what really happened. But all the same, they were very glad that she was safe and alright.

Kira got back to her room and couldn’t stop thinking about him. First of all, she couldn’t believe that she would set her eyes on him once more. It was like a dream come true. And she really hoped to meet him again soon.

She took off her clothes and stepped into the shower to freshen up. After bathing with her legs hurting slightl, she brought out the balm from her hoodie pucket and applied some on the leg before massaging her ankle.

She made sure she did it exactly the way he told her to do. After the massage, she went to the window and looked at the city. It was quite big and busy. The street light made everywhere looked lively. Now was the time she desperately need to go outside and walk and enjoy the cold weather but she doubts her parents would let her especially when they thought she was lost.

“Why didn’t he tell me his name?” Kira asked herself recalling everything he said before dropping her.

(NOTE: THIS PART WAS ADDED BECAUSE I FORGOT TO MENTION IT IN THE PREVIOUS CHAPTER)…

“Which hotel do you stay at ?” He asked her grabbing a coat .

“Starlight hotel” Kira replied and he nodded. Helping Kira up, he placed his hand on her waist and supported her while she walked. They both left the apartment but he didn’t bother to lock it. He only shut it close before leaving.

They both went to his car parked outside of the apartment which Kira didn’t notice earlier. This had Kira wondering whether it was truly his car and if it is, why didn’t she see it earlier on?

Well it didn’t matter. At least she wouldn’t have to walk a distance back to the hotel. Only God knew how far it possibly is.

The driver back to the hotel was quiet..he didn’t talk to her neither did Kira speak. Rather she was wondering why he wasn’t talking to her.

Did she do something wrong? She didn’t reply doing anything wrong to him or upsetting him in anyway. She looked at his face. It was so blank with a frown on his face.

“Is it your hobby to be staring?” He asked without taking his eyes off the road.

“Huh?” Kira asked snapping out of her thoughts. He took a quick glance at her and face back the road.
“Am just wondering why your frowning” Kira said and faced the road too.

” Okay” was he said and Kira pouted.

“Aren’t you going to tell me why?” She asked with pleading eyes.

“No!! ” Came his straight answer.

“Why?”

“We are here” he announced instead. And Kira looked out her window. The car was in front of the hotel.

‘so quick’ it saddened her that the driver came so soon to an end.

“Thank you” kira said and unbuckled the seatbelt.

” Wait, I’ll help you ” he offered and got down immediately. He helped her walk to the front entrance of the hotel.

“Wait” Kira held his arm looking at him not minding if anyone saw her.
“You haven’t told me your name” she added and he sighed.

“You don’t have to know my name” he replied shortly.

” Why??” She asked.

” Do you love asking questions so much?” He gr-0aned.

” I just want to the know the name of my savior”

“Fine then. You can call me savior” he told her .

” But I have only one savior. That’s Christ” Kira blurted out and he looked at her wide eyes.

“Fine then. Call me whatever you want but you can’t know my real name. It’s better for the both of us if u don’t” he concluded and giving her one last glance before leaving.

Kira sighed and entered the hotel limping

★★DAYS LATER★★
She looked at her reflection in the mirror as they dress her hair and did her makeup for her. Her heart was deeply saddened by the turn of events. Today was her engagement party. Today she will be getting engaged to Tristan. That dude that she doesn’t like and can never like. She despise and each time she sees him, he looks at her like though he knows her although Kira couldn’t recall knowing him.

He didn’t seem like a good person to Kira but what can she do about it??!! She was doing this for her dad afterall

She felt tears dropping from her eyes

“Why are you crying miss? Your going to destroy your makeup” the makeup artist said and used tissue to help clean her tears.

“Does it matter. I don’t want this” Kira said staying directly at herself in the mirror. She could feel more tears filling her eyes. Why is she getting emotional now? It’s too late for tears.

‘its never too late’ her consciousness tells her.

Kira pondered it on. Could she really stop this from happening??

“Arrrggghh” the makeup artist gr-0aned loudly drawing the attention of others in the room.

“You are destroying your make up” she said and grabbed the tissue again.

“Am sorry ” kira apologize and tried to get a grip of herself.

“Today ought to be the happiest day of your life miss” the hair dresser ch¡pped in.

” How can you be Happy when your being forced?” Kira blurted unknowingly.

” Wait, your being forced to this?” The makeup artist froze asking and Kira blinked the tears threatening to pour again.

“No. Am not” Kira quickly denied. She didn’t want her parents to look like bad people in front of then especially when they didn’t know why she was being forced .

The make up artist kept quiet after a while. Mira kept looking at the mirror imagining how her life will change the day she married Tristan. Then her mind went to her Savior. She hasn’t seen him for days. She was kinda disappointed but it didn’t matter. They were two different people anyway.

“But….if I were to be forced into marriage against my wish, I’ll sabotage it” the make-up artist said and Kira looked at her in the mirror.

” Me too” the hairdresser agreed.

“Me three”

“Me four”

“I think that’s what anyone in your shoes will do” …everyone helping her to get dress agreed too.

” Okay. So how can I stop this?” Kira asked.

Finally, it was time to leave. Engagement party starts by 4 and only a few more minutes before the clock strikes 4pm. Kira was ready to carry our the plan the girls had given her.

“So smart” Kira complimented when they told her the plan. And she too was very sure it would work out. Tristan won’t go ahead with this arranged marriage by the time she does the show she’s about to pull off tonight.

Going out of the room dressed in her royal blue gown with beautiful stones adorning it and her matching blue heels..she went to the lounge to find her parents waiting for her. Her dad smiled and took his daughter hand and planted a k-iss on her back hand.

“Your looking pretty angel” her dad complimented and she giggled before both of them heard a scoff behind her dad.

“Ohhh mom” Kira gr-0aned and rolled her eyes. Her mother smiled before walking to give her a hug.

“Shall we?” Her mom asked and Kira nodded.

Her mom held her hand and was heading for the entrance when they heard a gasped.

Both her and her mom turned back and found her father struggling to breath. The guard quickly held him before he could collapse.

“Dad” Kira panicked and ran back to him along with her mom..

“I’ll….be….Fi…fine” he wheezed out. He was gradually suffocating. The guard quickly removed his tie. Kira mom couldn’t stop her tears .

“Call the doctor quick” Kira’s mom commanded as the guard carried her dad.

“Take her to her engagement” her mom said and was about leaving when Kira held her hand.

” What?? Dad…what about dad…I can’t leave him like this.” Kira struggle to say with her tears.

” Your dad will be fine. You need to get engaged today. I and your dad will come as soon as he feels much better okay” her mom said patting her cheeks and gave the guards the signal to take her.

“No mom… don’t do this” she cried out loud as the guards dragged her away. People looked at the drama happening Wondering what was going on.

Soon, she arrived at her in laws home as that’s where the party will be held. Everywhere was big and decorated. And looking fanciful. Guests were just trooping in . The hall was filled already. As soon as Kira got in,side , all eyes turned on her. But there was no smile or sign of happiness on her face. Her dad was currently fighting for his life, she couldn’t be happy.

” I can’t do this” she said to herself remembering the plan that her helpers had given her. But seeing what Happened to her dad, she was reminded of the reasons why she was doing this. It’s her dad wish before he dies and she will have to fulfill it.

Kira was led to where her in-laws to be stood and she greeted them not bothering to smile .

After that, she stood beside Tristan..

“Smile” he whispered rudely and Kira glared at him .. he sighed.

“Look,I heard what happened to your dad and am sorry. But you have to keep a happy look on your face so that guests won’t suspect okay?” He explained but Kira didn’t say anything but he knew she heard him cause soon,some people he was quite acquaintance with came to see Kira and she had a big smile on her face which was forced but who cares!!

At exactly 7pm, Mr Howard mounted the pulpit and tapped the mic drawing everyone attention.

“Today is the most special day of my life. This is is because, my one and only son will be getting engaged to the most beautiful girl in the world,Miss Kira Reinhart” he announced and everyone applauded them

” I am so happy that God has given me the opportunity to behold this day and am sure he will give the opportunity to be present on the day of the wedding” he paused and cheers could be heard.

” Without further ado,can the couple to be come here, let’s have them engaged” he said and Tristan offered his hand which Kira took hesitantly and together, they both walked to the pulpit and the s₱0tlight shunned on them.

The rings were Both and Tristan grabbed one and Kira slowly stretched out her hand and he placed the rings on her ring finger. Applauded and cheers could be heard as Kira did the same .

All she wished now was for this to be over so that she could get back to her dad.

“You guys looked good together. You fit as a couple” a woman complimented them and Tristan smiled.

” Thanks Aunt” he said and Kira smiled too.

“Alright. I’ll get going now” she said and left and Tristan held her hand.

” What are you doing?” Kira whispered. The party was over and slowly the crowd was decreasing. It was already half past ten. Kira was impatient to go home already.

“Come with me” Tristan whispered and pulled her away from the party and took her to his room.

” What are you doing?” Kira asked suspicious. Tristan bolted the door and faced her. He couldn’t take his eyes off her throughout today. Seeing her in that dress turned him on. She was looked s-xy with her curves and beauty that he couldn’t hold it any longer

“We are engaged Kira “he said taking slow steps towards her .

“Yes and so?” She asked moving backwards.

“Don’t you think it’s time we had s*x?” He asked and Kira eyes w¡dened.

” we can have s-x after marriage”back she replied still moving back.

” Hmm..but I want you now” he said and her back hit against the wall and he corned her.he brought her l-ips to her neck and inhaled deeply.

“Mmmhh….you smell so good” he gr-0aned and Kira gasped.
” I want you” he whispered and bit her earlobe.

Kira eyes w¡dened as she pushed him and slapped him. He looked at her. Anger visible in his eyes.

“How dare you hit me you b*tch” he yelled as he held his cheeks.

“And how dare you try to force yourself on me. Do I look like a slut or whore?” She yelled back.

” You!!” He rushed her and grabbed her neck suffocating her.

” Let go of me you idiot” she said barely breathing but Tristan didn’t listen so she kicked him against his m*nhood and he gr-0aned in pain. Kira quickly grabbed the opportunity and left the room rushing outside.

He looked as the party was over but was yet to see her coming out. He wondered what was delaying her as he watched the Mansion in the shadows.

He found out about her engagement and came here soon. He had been dieing to see her all these days but he couldn’t because of his current situation.

He was kind of angry that Kira couldn’t inform him about her engagement. So he came to give her a piece of his mind. But he has been here for about an hour and half and no signs of Kira. Sighing, he made to leave when someone stucked an injection in his neck.

He pulled it out but it was already too late as the poison had already spread in his body. He looked behind him and found a guy in cloak before collapsing

Am sorry for this late Post. My phone hasn’t been repaired so I don’t know wen next I’ll post but hopefully soon enough…that’s why I made it long
..next post is probably 2 or 3days from now…. unless my phone is repaired before then…
