King’s office…!

“I have sent the pup to her parents… Now I think we should send some trackers to track where the other pups are… Then we’ll go rescue them!” Xander said.

He had told his father how they found the little girl in the woods.

His father nods and turns to his beta.

“Send five trackers now!”

“Yes, your Majesty!” He replies and rushes out.

The king searches for a file among his heap of files and drops it in front of Xander.

Xander reaches for it and reads through… A frown appear on his face.

“Dad, this is war strategy!”

His father nods and plays something on his phone.. a recording.

Xander listened until the end and his frowns deepens.

“I don’t understand!”

“Your Mom record that, the seer told us all these!”

He slams the file on the table and slumps onto a chair in front of his father’s desk.

“And you guys believe him?!”

“Yes and no!”

Xander stays silent and glares blankly at the files.

“We don’t know if he’s lying or not, but we have to take precautions… That’s why I have made some plans…”

He picks the file Xander angrily drops and glances through it.

“Go back and get your boys ready… with Antonio around, I’m sure there’s be war soon!”

Xander nods and gets up.

“My mate is alone, I should get going!” He said and head for the door… not waiting for his father’s reply.

“Alpha!” The guards greets him with a bow as he opens the door to his mansion.

He simply acknowledges them with a nod.

“Did my mate leave the mansion?” He asked.

They shake their heads.

“No, Alpha! She’s being in,side all day!”

Xander nods and opens the door.

“Baby, I’m home!” Xander announces as he steps into his mansion.

But he’s met with silence, his voice echoes back to him. He takes off his shoes and wore a pair of crochets .

“Baby?” He calls one more time.

He frowns when he still doesn’t get any response.

Could she be asleep already? He wonders. He head for the stairs and enters their room, his eyes goes straight to the bed but it’s empty.

He walk towards the bathroom and opens the door, still empty.

He reaches for his phone and dialed her number.. after waiting for a few seconds, her phone starts ringing.

But surprisingly, he hears her ringtone blaring from the living room… He rushes downstairs and sees her phone on the table.

Where did she go?

*Mind-link her!* Liam suggested.

He mentally smacks himself for forgetting about their link.

*Baby?*

No reply.

*Baby?!*

No reply.

*Alexa?!*

Still no reply. He gro-ns and blocks the link.. he frowns.

“I didn’t offend her.. why is she blocking me?” He thinks out loud.

Then a thought strikes his mind and he quickly mind-link Will.

*Alpha!* Will’s voice came.

*Is my baby with you?*

*No, Alpha… is anything the matter?*

Xander didn’t reply him before he cuts off the link.. then he sent Micah a mind-link too.

*Micah!*

*Jealous Alpha!* Micah replies.

Xander growls at his statement but didn’t bother you much..

*Is my mate with you?*

*Alexa? No!*

He cuts off the link.

Could she be hiding somewhere in the mansion? But why would she?

He decides to just check around… His legs move towards the kitchen and he stops abruptly when his eyes settles on the back door.

He narrows his eyes and walk closer.. the door is open. He opens it w¡der and steps out.

“Baby?!” He called.

But no one answered.

“Alexa?!” Still no answer.

He growls loudly and calls on the guards.. the guards all find their way to the backyard.

“Alpha!”

Xander turns to them with a very harsh glare.

“Tell me, who was guiding this door?!” He asked.

All the guards shake their heads.

“Not me!” They all said.

“I sent you here to protect your Luna.. which means you must guide every corner of my house!” Xander growls.

He grabs the guard closest to him and throws him to the ground.

“Now tell me, where is my mate?!” He growls.

They all take steps backwards…their heads bowed, too scared to lift their heads or even say anything.

“I’m asking a question… Where. Is. My. Mate?!” He roars.

The guards nudges each other, silently arguing who will speak first.

“Answer me!!”

“W-we.. w-we.. don’t.. know…..”

“You don’t know?!” Xander cuts off the guard who manages to speak up.

He points at them, setting his l-ips on a thin line.

“You all don’t know… She slipped past all ten of you!”

He paces back and forth as he pulls on his hair harshly.

“How come nobody was guiding this door?! How foolish can you be?!”

*Now’s not the time for scolding.. find mate!* Liam said.

He glares at the guards.

“Go now, search everywhere!”

“Yes, Alpha!”

He steps back in the house and slams the door shut.

*Connor, send some trackers over to my mansion.. quick!* He mind-link Connor.

*Yes, Alpha!*

He blocks Connor and opens his pack-link.

*Everyone look carefully, your Luna princess is missing!* He growls.

*My sister is missing?!* Will’s voice came in his mind.

He blocks him off without replying and kicks the small stool in front of him.

“How did this f$ucking happened?!”

Alexa’s pov 🎀

I don’t know how long I’ve slept, I slowly open my eyes and gro-n as I hold my head.

“You’re awake?” A little boy’s voice asked.

I shake my head sideways and blink my eyes… A boy of seven or eight squats in front of me.

“Mom, Luna is awake!” The boy said.

I smile and made to gets up but something refrains me… with a frown I look down and notice I’m tied against the foot of a bed.

I gasp.

“What’s going on?” I asked.

I tried to untie myself but couldn’t, then two ladies crawl towards me.. the little boy rests against one of the ladies.

“Don’t try, you’ll only hurt yourself, Luna!” One of them said.

“Luna?! You know me?”

They both nod.. including the little boy.

“We’re from crescent moonstone pack!”

“Then why are you here? I mean, why are we here?”

They sigh.

“We’re held captive here”

“Captive?” I asked as if to confirm my ears.

They gestures me to look around, I look around and sees other women and children… their hands tied behind their backs.

Some are blindfolded…

“Some of us have been here for two weeks now… and some were brought in today!” Of them explained.

Then I recall that little girl telling Xander and I that her friends were taken away… I guess they were brought here.

But how come some of them have being here for weeks and nobody notices?

“Luna, save us!” The little boy begs me.

I flashes him a smile and nod.

“Don’t worry, I’ll find a way to get us out of here!” I assured him.. he nods.

I close my eyes and calls Xander through our link.

*Xander?*

Silence.

*Xander?*

Silence.

*Xander?!*

Still silence. I open my eyes and frown, is Xander purposely blocking me?

“Luna, you tried to use your mind-link just now?” The boy’s mother asked.

I nod and she shakes her head.

“I’m afraid you can’t use your mind-link, we’ve all tried that before!”

“Why can’t I use my link?” I asked.

“We’ve been injected a very large dose of wolfsbane…the wolfsbane in our system won’t wear off anytime soon!”

My eyes grows wide. If I can’t use my mind-link, how can I inform Xander of my location?

How can I get him to come save all these people?

“Do you know who captured us and brought us here? Have you seen him?”

They shake their heads. I sighed… this is bad!

*Oh! Now you know it’s bad… why didn’t you stay home and be a good girl?!* Scar growled loudly in my head.

I rolled my eyes, at least she’s still here and I can shift if worse comes to worst.

*Don’t think you can shift… The wolfsbane is too strong for me!* She said.

I shut her off.. everyone in this room is looking at me like they are expecting me to do something about our current situation.

I clears my throat.

“I’ll find means to get us out of here!” I assured them.. whereas I’m not even sure how!

Writer’s pov 🎀

King’s palace….!

Xander paces back and forth, waiting for the trackers sent out to tracker Alexa’s scent.

The big doors burst open and the Dex brothers rushes in p-nting heavily.

“Alpha, has my sister been found?!” Will asked Xander.

Xander simply stares at him and looks away without saying a word… Micah balls his fist.

“Alpha! My brother is asking… Where is our sister?!” Micah growls.

Xander snaps his head to him and narrows his eyes… He takes slow steps towards Micah but Connor rushes to stop him.

“Alpha, calm down, he’s just worried about their sister…”

He cuts Connor off with a growl.

“She’s my mate! She’s carrying our pup! Do you think they’re more worried than I am?!”

Will drags Micah back but Micah scoffs and puffs out his chest… He look straight into Xander’s eyes.

“I don’t care if she’s your mate.. all I know is, I want to see my sister!”

Will smacks Micah on the head and pulls him back… Xander glares at Micah, fighting so hærd to stop himself from ripping Micah’s head off his neck.

“I see the Dex brothers wants to revolt!” Xander growls.

“No, Alpha! We’re just worried about our sister!” Will explained.

The king bangs on the table and everyone turns to him.

“Have you all forgotten I’m still here?!”

“Sorry your Majesty!” Everyone.. except Xander…chorused.

Just then the trackers comes back with their heads hanging low…mere looking at their expressions, Xander already guessed what they wanna say.

“Your majesty, your highness!” They greets the king and Xander respectively.

“What did you find?” The king asked.

“Nothing, your majesty…Luna princess’s scent leads us into the woods and then it vanish..no scent at all” one of the trackers report.

Xander growls loudly and punches the closest person to him… Dylan.

Dylan gro-ns and holds his jaw but didn’t complain.

“You’re all useless!” He roars angrily.

“Go now! Keep on searching..search everywhere and anywhere, leave no stone unturned… make sure you find her! I want you to find my mate before dawn!” He orders and marches off angrily.

The king quickly send Connor after him.. the queen sitting next to her husband begins to cry silently as different scenarios flashes through her mind.

“Dylan take more fighters and go with the trackers, don’t come back until you get a clue!” The king commands.

“Yes, your Majesty!”

Will steps forward.

“Your Majesty, I wanna go with them…”

“Me too!” Micah cuts Will.

The king sighs and nods.

Connor stand in a corner and watch Xander destroy everything in his living… glass shærds everywhere.

Xander pulls the TV off the wall and throws it across the room.

Connor sighs deeply, he can feel how sad and scared Xander is.. so he doesn’t bother to stop him.

Xander looks around for something to throw but everything is destroyed… He runs his fingers through his hair and pulls them angrily.

“Baby, where the f$ck are you?!”

Connor clears his throat.

“Alpha, how about you take a bath to cool down?”

Xander sniffs the air and perceive a foul smell..he traces where’s coming from and realize it’s from their room.

He ignores Connor and hurried upstairs.. taking the steps two at a time.

He opens the door and steps in, his eyes look around but found nothing out of place.. his gaze then lands on the bed.

A small note laying on the bed.. he quickly picks it up and reads.

*Your mate is with me… But I can’t guarantee how long she’ll stay alive…your uncle, Antonio!*

He squeezes the note and throws it randomly.

Antonio’s pov 🎀

I smirks as I watch his expression from the tree… this is what I wanna see… He should feel frustrated for stealing from me.

My phone beeps.

“Sire, the little girl has helped the prisoners escape!”

“What?!” I hang up quickly and dashes off into the woods.
