💋 CHIOMA 💋

Being an elite is great but being a hero, not so much. I may sound a little hypocritic but honestly this hero gig isn’t my style at all. It’s true that I came up with the idea of establishing an organization where Elites like myself can use their abilities for the greater good but sincerely speaking this isn’t how I wanted my life to be.

There are codes which every hero abides by and those codes goes against everything I thrive on. Back when I was younger, I wanted to use my abilities to have a better life, a life of luxury and enjoyment, a life where I would never have to experience or go through any kind suffering but as it turns out Fate has managed to turn my dreams into a fantasy.
Another setback about this hero nonsense is that I don’t get to do the things that I used to do when I was younger. During my teenage days, I used to go on shoppings and spend like crazy because my bank accounts was always filled with cash which I used to get from Alhajis and chiefs.
Another thing I used to do back in the day was that I used to go to exclusive places and do as I wanted plus I used to date extremely handsome guys but now I’m stuck with this peeking tom of a boyfriend called Eze.

Okay, I’ll admit that I love Eze, I really do. He’s a great guy but back in the day, he wasn’t the kind of guy that I wanted to play romeo and Juliet with. Unlike the cool and handsome guys I used to date, Eze is by far lesser than them in ever way. He is a r0mantic and caring guy but he rarely makes my day. For instance, his bank account doesn’t allow him to take me to the places I want to go like fancy restaurants or other exclusive places instead I have to settle for public restaurants where everybody goes. Also there goes our anniversary dates which is suppose to be special, instead of us to go to some exclusive resort and spend some days there, Eze ends up taking me to amusement parks or bowling alleys. HABA!

I know I sound like an ungrateful jerk but I would love to see Eze surprise me for a change even if it’s just for once. Here in,side Ade’s guest house one afternoon, I together with some of gals sat comfortably in the sitting room. It’s been a long week working tirelessly to find a way to stop Prometheus from attacking again. Unlike like us, the guys didn’t take any break, they were busy working their asses off. As we all sat quietly, I decided to start up a conversation.

Chioma ➡ Hmm, this life s-ck I swear.

Naomi ➡ Wetin happen?

Kaitlyn ➡ What s-cks about this life?

Chioma ➡ Let’s be honest, is this how you wanted your lives to turn out?
.

Naomi ➡ Eh no but I can’t complain. In fact, I never thought my life would be better.
.

Chioma. ➡ You call this better?
.

Naomi ➡ Yes. Years ago, I was living in a slum and on the run from Executioners. The friends I used to have, half of them are now rogue not to mention that I never had any social life but now things are different. I have new friends, a job, a nice house and best of all a boyfriend that cares about me despite my condition.

Kaitlyn ➡ It’s not a condition. It’s a gift which your medical boyfriend doesn’t know about. Why are you complaining about the way you live, Chioma? You have a good thing going.
.

Chioma. ➡ I wouldn’t call it a good thing. This life s-cks and compared to the lifestyle I used to in back in the day, this is a major setback. Just imagine, I used to live a life of luxury and bliss. My life was great.
.

Kaitlyn ➡ Ungrateful b-tch! Stop fooling yourself. No condition is permanent and besides what you have now isn’t bad. Better shut your mouth or else..
.

Naomi ➡ Besides what do you know about the hærd life? You haven’t the slightest idea how…
.

Chioma ➡ SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!… Don’t you even dare! You think you’re the only ones who have tasted poverty? It’s the very reason why I hated living poor. I never ever want to go back to that life ever again.

After that statement, Eve suddenly surprised us all by appearing unexpectedly into the room, she had used her reptile-like camouflage to make herself invisible. Shortly after her appearance, she too gave her own opinion about the matter.

Eve ➡ I’ve been listening to your conversations and I have to say Chioma, I’m quite disappointed.
.

Chioma ➡ Shut up mouth Eve, you grew up rich so you don’t know what’s like to be poor.
.

Eve ➡ I know but I do know this. We all can’t have our cake and eat it too. I know you used your abilities to get what you want back in the day, you think you can reach on top of the world easily?
Let me tell you something, we might have abilities that makes us look like we’re unstoppable but the truth is despite that, we’re still human. We’re not the perfect beings, we too do make mistakes and choices that affect our lives positively or negatively.
You grew up believing that you can make your life better by using your abilities but what you forget is that we don’t control our destiny, Fate does. I was once human, I’d never thought that I’d have these abilities. I once had a sister but she was murdered and my family are all gone. It hurts but I can’t fight it cause that’s how things are supposed to be.
Unlike me, You have something good here, friends, love, and people that you might actually call family. Stop being childish Chioma, you’re not that same teenage girl anymore. You’re a grown woman and being a grown up comes with responsibilities. Better sit down and think before you do something that you’ll regret. Life isn’t about fun, it’s about living.

To be honest, I was shocked that Eve was this sensitive and despite what she’s become I never knew she’d make a strong statement such as this. Kailtyn and Naomi too were shocked about what Eve said but before they could praise her, she reminded them on the ground we all stood on.

Kaitlyn ➡ My goodness, Eve that was…. Wow.
.

Naomi ➡ I have to say that’s some statement. I’m impressed.
.

Eve ➡ Don’t get too excited cause this changes nothing between us.

Kaitlyn ➡ What do you mean?

Eve ➡ You’re all my enemies as far as I’m concerned. Just because we’re working together doesn’t mean we’re now friends. I only made this statement to make this fool realize the mistake she’s making.

Naomi ➡ Hmph, some things never change.

Kaitlyn ➡ Na so oh.. A leopard can never change it’s s₱0t.

Chioma ➡ Perhaps but thanks for the advice.

Eve never gave me a reply, instead she scoffed and then left the room. Shortly after Eve’s exit, Eze and the others entered the room looking exhausted. Unlike the others who had threw themselves on the couch, Eze approached me wrapping his arms around my w–st. One of the things I like about him is that he holds him tightly as if he would never let go.

Eze ➡ My one and only. I could eat you right now
.

Chioma ➡ (giggles) Easy jor, we have company.
.

Kaitlyn ➡ And so? Make una enjoy your time. Where’s my tech wizard bf?
.

Eze ➡ He’s here but he’s still working.

Kaitlyn ➡ As if.. Let me go and meet him jare.

Kabir ➡ Where’s Ade?

Chioma ➡ I haven’t seen him today. Is something wrong?

Ace ➡ Not exactly.

Rollins ➡ Those cockroaches can hide. We’ve searched for them but we’ve got nothing.

Naomi ➡ Cockroaches!?

Ace ➡ He means Moses and the others.

Naomi ➡ But shouldn’t we be focusing on Prometheus? What about that demon girl, Denise?

Kabir ➡ Don’t worry, we’ll handle all that. In the meantime we should handle things step by step. Although it would be better if Felicia and her gang helped us out a little.

OMNISCIENT POV

As Felicia pays an unexpected visit to her long time friend Iwonbi in his home, the two discuss about the changes they’ve experienced over the last decade. Iwonbi who was now listening to Felicia’s story was surprised to hear the things she had gone through over the years

Iwonbi ➡ Felicia!

Felicia ➡ Yes?
.

Iwonbi ➡ You have a son?
.

Felicia ➡ Yes, I have a son.
.

Iwonbi ➡ You got married?
.

Felicia ➡ Not exactly.
.

Iwonbi ➡ So who’s the father?

Felicia ➡ Ade.
.

Iwonbi ➡ Wow, does he know?
.

Felicia ➡ Yeah.
.

Iwonbi ➡ Hmm, well I must say that I’m quite surprised but congratulations all the same. How old is the boy?

Felicia ➡ 10.

Iwonbi ➡ Wait o.. You mean you got pregnant after the executioners demise.

Felicia ➡ It would seem so.
.

Iwonbi ➡ So does this mean you’re getting married to Ade soon ?

Felicia ➡ I’m not so sure. He’s with someone else.

Iwonbi ➡ Ouch.. I see but you can make it work. He can marry you both.

Felicia ➡ (laughs) Iwonbi, this is not the 16th century and besides that I’m not in this house wife gig. It’s not my style.

Iwonbi ➡ But you have a son.

Felicia ➡ Iwonbi, I s-ck at parenting. In fact I hate it.

Iwonbi ➡ Well, you can’t run away from it. Your son is now your prime responsibility.

Felicia ➡ Oh please.. You know I hærdly stay in one place. I love to move around.

Iwonbi ➡ Well, you have to do that now. Taking care of children is a sacred task, running away from it will only break your bond with your child.

Felicia ➡ Whatever. I still don’t like parenting.

Iwonbi ➡ Look Felicia.. I know your parents weren’t the best parents in the world and I know you didn’t have the luxury to enjoy the love of your parents but please don’t make that same mistake with your son. You can’t fix the past but you can fix the present so that the future would be bright.

Felicia ➡ Thanks Iwonbi but I’ll think about what you said, in the meantime how’s Isabelle and the kids?

Iwonbi ➡ They’re fine and in good health.

Felicia ➡ I can see that she’s taking good care of you. You’re looking fat.

Iwonbi ➡ (laughs) It’s just good food and a nice relaxation. Nothing more. Life is pretty good for us actually.

Felicia ➡ Yes but not for long.

Iwonbi ➡ What do you mean?

Felicia ➡ There’s an enemy coming and it’s target is everyone.

Iwonbi ➡ It is the executioners?

Felicia ➡ Worse! They call themselves Prometheus and they’re Elites like us.

Iwonbi ➡ Jesus Christ! Elites, well I’m sure we can handle them.

Felicia ➡ I’m afraid we can’t..

Iwonbi ➡ Why? we have Ade who’s power is freak of nature.

Felicia ➡ The organization also have their own freaks as well which they haven’t unleashed. Have you heard about the robot attack?

Iwonbi ➡ Yes.. That was them?

Felicia ➡ Yes but that’s nothing to what they’re actually capable of.

Iwonbi ➡ So why are you telling me this exactly? It’s not like I can do anything.

Felicia ➡ Yes you can. I would need you to consult your wife to use her powers.

Iwonbi ➡ Felicia are you insane? I can’t do that.

Felicia ➡ This is life or death, Iwonbi.

Iwonbi ➡ Have you forgotten about Eve? She died in that choas.

Iwonbi ➡ Unbelievable. Every now and then Isabelle would cry about the girl.

Felicia ➡ But if she hadn’t you would have been killed.

Iwonbi ➡ Yeah I know and so does Isabelle but what happened that night still haunts her.

Felicia ➡ Well, she doesn’t need to worry anymore. Can you talk to her for me?

Iwonbi ➡ I’ll think about it Felicia. What you’re asking for is just too much.

Felicia ➡ I know you have a good thing going on here with Isabelle but let me remind you that the enemy that is coming doesn’t give a damn about that. Time is running out and we need all hands on deck. Give me a call when you’ve made your decision.

After that statement, Felicia leaves the house and heads to her car which she had stole moments ago. Her ex lover Jennifer who sat on the hood of the car playing with a black cat stared at her friend and asked about her meeting with Iwonbi.

Jennifer ➡ So how did it go?
.

Felicia ➡ He says he’s going to think about it.
.

Jennifer ➡ So his wife is the one with the terrifying power?
.

Felicia ➡ She could scatter this whole area in a blink of an eye.

Jennifer ➡ Omo no be small thing. So what now?.

Felicia ➡ We need more recruits.
.

Jennifer ➡ I think I know where we might find one but before that come here let me taste those red l-ips of yours.

Pulling Felicia onto the hood right next to her, Jennifer holds her hair and then plants a lewd k-ss on her l-ips. Unable to resist the urge, Felicia gives in and enjoys the k-ss as well. Moving in with my father was quite sudden and unexpected. I get the fact that he’s responsible for me and that i should spend so time with him but I really don’t want to move in with him.
Living with Aunt Jennifer is great cause she lets me be and never restricts what I do although she does have one problem and that’s her cats. She has lots of them in the house and their cries is always a nuisance, despite that, I do prefer living with her.

Minutes later, my dad and I arrived at his magnificent house ; I couldn’t help but stare at the place cause it looked so big and mind blowing. Who would have thought that my father was this rich?
After parking his car in the garage, my dad and I went into the house where we saw a very stunning and attractive lady sitting on the couch, The lady stared at us with shock for a while before she reached out to my father and gave him a k-ss. Yeech! Why are adults so disgusting?

Ade ➡ Susan, what are you doing here?
.

Susan ➡ You gave me the spare keys to the house remember, you said that I was always welcomed here.

Sometimes, I hate myself for causing a stir but I can’t help it. This Susan lady doesn’t deserve to be here and if anyone deserves to be in this house, it’s my mom. I don’t know what went down btwn My parents but I’ll be damned if I’m going to let this Susan lady take over everything while my mom is around. Speaking of my mom, I wonder what’s wrong with her? All of this could be hers but she chooses to be messing around. She’s a smart lady as it is but why won’t she come and claim her place next to my father.
Although what I said was nothing to be mad about, Susan wasn’t pleased with it. In fact, she was pissed but she didn’t make any fuss. My dad who sensed the mood she was in, dragged her and led her further into the house. Shortly after my father left with Susan, I teleported myself out of the house and appeared somewhere within the slums of Lagos.
It’s been a couple of years since I came to this city and I still haven’t explored most of the streets and neighborhood. The place I teleported myself to was a sorry sight. The standard of living was very poor and the people looked weary and hungry. Life is tough but it would be a little bit more better if the rich helped out a little but they don’t, instead they spend their wealth on themselves and look down on those that are beaneath them.
While I was busy touring around the neighborhood, I noticed some kids throwing stones at a skinny girl. Her fair skin was bruised and covered with wound marks and her clothes were torn and tattered. What surprised me the most was that the adults that were standing around didn’t do anything to stop the kids, instead they watched on and began to curse the girl. Seeing that the girl needed help, I decided create a distraction to take the girl away from the place.
In a blink of an eye, I teleported myself right in front of girl scaring away the kids and everyone that witnessed what happened, they ran madly as if they had seen the angel of death. I had to laugh cause one man fell hærd on the ground while running but despite that, he picked himself up and continued running.
In that moment of panic, I grabbed the girl’s hand and teleported us to someplace else where nobody would disturb us.
Here on the sandy Lagos beach, the girl who was surprised by what happened broke away from my grip and began to walk away.

In a blink of an eye, a terrifying being appeared out of the girl’s body and instantly grabbed me in her hand. Mom said that I could see spirits and other ghostly things, but I thought she was joking.

Richærd ➡ You know my father?

Abyzou ➡ Yes. You don’t seem scared?

Richærd ➡ I am but my mom taught me never to show my fears.

Abyzou ➡ Hmm, I see greatness in you. I don’t like humans but there’s something interesting about you. Why would you help out a girl you’ve never met?

Richærd ➡ She needed help and I have the means to do so.
.

Abyzou ➡ (laughs) You’re an interesting brat. Very well, I’ll allow the girl to follow you but keep it in mind that you’re responsible for what happens to her.
