Kyle’s blood boils as his fist clinched tightly. He have never been so humiliated in his life this way.

His eyes were on fire as he stared at him.

Kyle stepped backward before turning to leave them. He swore to make them regret sooner or later. He left the place and head home.

Chantel turned Dominic and sighed. “Thanks” she whispered.

“My pleasure, let go” he replied leading her towards his parent while holding her slim waist.

“Sorry I was busy chatting with some friends, that was why I could greet you well” Helen said with a smile. She’s nice.

Mr Steven cleared his throat then asked. “How’s your work?” He asked.

Sensing the unpleasing look from him, Chantel knew he is against her work, that’s why he is acting a but weird to her.

“Her work is fine thank you” Dominic replied instead. He gave his father a look asking him not to start.

“Come, allow me introduce you to some people” Helen went to hold her hand taking her away from Dominic.

Mr Steven stood beside his son. “I hope you remember this is just a business marriage. We might call it off any day.. you know the reason” he said before leaving.

Dominic stood with a blank look not knowing what to think. His gaze was on Chantel chatting with some women.

‘It’s just a business marriage’ his father word repeated in his head. Right, he must have forgotten the fact this marriage is for business.

“Mrs Winfrey is a kind woman” Chantel comment while they were being drive home.

“Hmm” Dominic gave a short reply while staring at the document before him.

Chantel frowned, what’s with him all of a sudden.

“I got to know more people. It’s really going to boost my career. Tonight’s party is great don’t you think?” She asked.

“Hmm” came another reply from him.

“Is everything okay?” She couldn’t help but asked.

“Why do you care?” he asked still not looking at her.

“You’re kidding right, what’s with the cold attitude?” She frowned.

“This is how I am. Beside we promised not to go into each others business. Let’s keep our distinct just like before. It’s a business marriage after all” He said keeping his eyes on the document.

“So all you did at the party was just an act?” She asked in disbelief.

“We should look like a real couples in the eyes of people. There’s no need to do that once we are alone” He said.

“What!! What about last night?” She can’t believe these words are coming from this man.

“There’s nothing about it” he said.

Her eyes widened hearing this. It took a while before she could digest it.

“Stop the car!” Chantel ordered the driver and he did.

Dominic frowned then finally look up at her. The anger on her face made him felt something strange.

She opened door.

“Where are you going?” He asked.

She slam the door with a loud thud.

“Screw you Dom!!” She yelled walking the opposite direction of where the car was heading.

Dominic clinched his jaw. What’s with her? He got down from the car too.

“Chantel get into the car” he demanded dipping her hands into his pocket as he watch her dailed someone’s number.

“Hey Rana, where are you?” Chantel asked. Fortunately Rana location was close to her place so she demanded to be picked up immediately.

After two minutes Rana was there with a cab.

“Chantel” Dominic called but she still board the car. He watch the car until it leave his sight.

“Is everything okay?” Rana asked.

“I just feel stupid” Chantel replied resting her head with her eyes closed.

They head towards Rana’s home. Luna; Rana’s mom welcomed her with warm hand.

“Yes!! Just one job and then you’re in for the Galaxy show. I told you, you’re born for this” she squealed.

Enzo walked into the office and found Dominic working. His eyes widened remembering Chantel’s words.

“Boss.. madam.. is going to.. sigh…” He closed his eyes.

“Going to do what?” Dominic asked.

“She said she’ll.. cut.. o..ff my dick” he replied shutting his eyes.

Dominic chuckled inwardly. His face turn cold again thinking of her. She didn’t return home last night and his mind had not been at rest. He sure said a wrong thing last night.

Dominic picked his phone and called her.

“What!” Her cold voice sounded over phone.

“You didn’t come home last night” He asked lightly.

“I thought I’m nothing to you. I’m trying to mind my business here.. you should keep your word too. After all this is just a business marriage” she replied.

“Chant..” he tried to speak but the call ended. Sighed he dropped his phone.

“Boss there’s something you need to know” Enzo said showing his phone screen to him. “She visited Gabriel’s home. It turns out they were dating even before Gabriel went to jail”

Dominic piercing gaze stayed on the screen.

Taking a deep breath she walked into the building.

McCarthy mansion, this would be her first time coming here since her wedding.

Getting in, she spot her parent waiting for her. She had made sure to dress well just to show that her life is just want she wanted.

Mr Tyler cold eyes watch her.

Katerina stood to greet her daughter. She pecked her cheek. “Welcome home sweetie”

“Thanks mom” Chantel smiled before sitting with her leg crossed.

The maid place a chilled fruit juice before her. She grab the juice and take a sip out of it.

Mr Tyler exhaled deeply before asking. “Why have you been ignoring our calls?”

“I’ve got a lot going on” Chantel replied shortly.

“A lot huh? You went back to the industry without my knowledge. Do you know how embarrassing it was, hearing it from Mr Steven? Yunno your actions can put your marriage at stake. Getting a divorce at this moment will be a failure to the family” He spoke.

Chantel’s lips curve up, she had expected this already. A father who only cared about himself.

“You can’t control me Mr Tyler, not anymore. As far as this marriage is concern. I have every fucking right to do whatever I want. My husband is not against it so who are you to tell me what to do?” Chantel asked. A trace of anger in her voice.

“Chantel” Katerina called getting a bad vibe about this conversation.

“You’re still my daughter and you should obey whatever I tell you. Going against it would mean you don’t want to be part of this family anymore”

Chantel kept her calm look. He is disowning her?

“You never took me as your daughter.. have you?” She asked.

Katerina sighed hearing this.

“No I don’t think so. We’ve never even have any moment together since when I was young. I have never for once have the feeling that I have father. You come home during the weekends and never had a fatherly talk with me, you’ve never took me out on a stroll showing me interesting things. All you do is to care about yourself and the business forgetting the ones who needs you”

Hearing her calm words, Mr Tyler’s face loosen a bit. Deep down he knows she is right about it.

“I never know how it feels to have father.. so thanks for the aweful times” Chantel smiled painfully before standing to leave.

Katerina could only sighed. She decided not to stop Chantel knowing she is damn right. She look down at her husband in a disgust way.

“I know our marriage was also a contract one but do you really have to do this to our child too. Let her live her life the way she wants. You’ve done enough” she spoke and turn to leave up to her room.

Mr Tyler closed his eyes as Chantel’s word rang over and over in his head.

When Chantel got out of the mansion, she bought out her phone and called Rana.

“Release it”

Yulia walked into Marcus office taking a deep breath. “We should do something about Chantel, she’ll definitely go against us once her status rises the more”

“What about the Galaxy show? Is there no feedback?” She asked. It has been days already and no feedback from the Galaxy show. If she happens to participate in this show then there is a high chance of her winning the top ten model award.

“Nothing yet but I’m sure they’ll call anytime soon” Marcus replied while Yulia sighed looking elsewhere. For a moment, Marcus gaze land on Yulia’s slightly exposed breast but he look away instantly.

Yulia left the office.

Phoebe walk towards her with shaky hands. “Miss you’ve got to see this”

Yulia remove her sunglasses as her eyes widened.

Kyle just finish talking to one of his friend on phone when Yulia appeared all of a sudden. He frowned noticing her upset look.

Before he could process what is going on, Yulia slapped him across the face.

“How could you have took a picture of us and post it online?!” She yelled without hearing the man’s explanation.

“Are you fucking crazy?!!” Kyle yelled so loud it made her shrink a little. “You didn’t even ask for my explanation and the next thing you did was to slap me across the face?! I don’t even know the fuck you’re talking about. Yunno what? Fuck you Yulia, I’m done with this shit.. Chantel never treat me this way. I’m tired of your constant complain and nagging shit! don’t you ever show your bitchy face to me again or I’m gonna ruin you!” He yelled and made to walk pass her.

“Kyle!” Yulia hugged him from behind. “Please I’m sorry okay.. I didn’t mean to do that.. I was just… I’m so sorry Kyle it won’t happen again.. don’t just leave me.. o..Kay.. Kyle.. please I love you” she started sobbing resting her head on his back.

Kyle rolled his eyes. Here she is again, throwing herself to him. Is she not tired of it?

The next word she said made his eyes widened.

“Let’s announce our relationship.. that’s what you want right? Let’s announce it” She said in between her sob.

Kyle slowly unwrap her hand from his waist and then turn, her face was filled with tears when he look at her.

Dominic got home late and could feel how empty the house is again. It’s been three days now since he set his eyes on Chantel.

“Is she home?” He asked Sofia who was busy cleaning the house.

“Yes, madam is upstairs” Sofia replied.

Dominic eyes widened, not expecting the reply. He had thought she didn’t come home today too.

He head upstairs immediately and head towards her room straight. Raising his hand, he made to knock but stop.

He did hurt her with the word he said that night.

‘I should apologize’ he thought but again stop when he made to knock.

How is he going to do it? He have never apologize to anyone before, not even his father. His words are cold and straight enough to carry danger in it.

“I.. am s..orry” he practice then frowned. ‘That feels weird’ he thought.

He raised his hand and decided to knock this time but the door opened revealing the she-devil. She was dress as if she was leaving again.

Dominic hand hang on the air as he look down at her. Gosh he missed this crazy lady before her.

“Demon?” She called not expecting him to be home soon. She actually came to grab a little stuff then leave afterward.

“Huh, hi” he dropped his hand and dipped it into his pocket back.

“Tssk..” she scoffed. Is that all he gat to say.. fine.. she opened the door further and made to walk out but he stood before her.

“You’re leaving again?” He asked.

“Why do you care?” she said and made to leave but was stopped by him again.

“Why? You’re married.. you should be staying in this house..” he said.

“We should act like couples when we are together outside and not inside.. So stay out of my fucking way before I pull out your liver” she warned and made to leave but the same thing happened again.

She shot a glare at him.

“Those word I said that day.. I.. I didn’t mean them” for the first time, he stammer before someone.

“Whatever, I don’t like being here in the first place. It’s no fun.. and you said it yourself. All of these is nothing so let me be” she said and made to leave again but he didn’t stop her this time instead she heard a shocking word leave his mouth.

She stopped her track and frowned if she heard him correctly not until he said it again.

“I am sorry for what I said and I didn’t mean them. It’s just that my dad get into my head that day. The house feels empty without you so please come back Chantel…”

Chantel mouth dropped. She look back to check if he was talking to someone else.

He start not knowing if he should say it but it’s the truth.

“I miss you” he said and exhaled sharply.. that was harder that a project.. he thought.

Chantel blinked severally. Did the most ruthless billionaire just apologize to her? Wait, he used the word ‘please’. That’s two different shock.

Dominic watch her take slow steps towards him. Her face held a surprise look. She stopped when she was close enough. His mind wonder what she is about to do.

The next thing she did was to touch his forehead and asked.
