Hours Earlier ~ Hospital

“Let me in, I want to see his highness” Rico demanded but the two guards stationed at the door stood firm.

“The queen has given us an order not to open the door for….”

“This is urgent! It’s about his Majesty bride to be. So get out of my way!” Rico yelled at both men but they didn’t budge.

” Fine then, I will go and speak to the queen mother myself” Rico said turning to leave and when the men loose their guard, he quickly push past them and went into the room.

“Let go of me! I want to talk to my brother” Rico yelled until Reagan woke up.

“Let him go” Reagan ordered and immediately the guards let him go.

“You can leave” Reagan ordered as the guard left the room.

“How are doing?” Rico asked.

“Am okay though I keep wondering why the queen keeps making a fuss that I get complete rest ”

“Oh! That’s for you not to know what she’s been up to” Rico said.

“What has she been doing ?” Reagan asked and Rico told him everything.

“She didn’t want any of us seeing you just so we wouldn’t tell you about it” Rico said as Reagan pulled the sheets away, getting off the bed.

“Are you leaving?” Rico asked.

“My wife to be is in jail and you are asking me if am leaving?”

“Am just bothered about your health. Will you be fine?” Rico asked.

“I will, give me my phone” Reagan ordered which got Rico handing it to him.

“Get your @ss over to the police station and get Ciara out!” Reagan ordered Willow as soon as he pick the call.

A while later, Reagan and Rico got to the police station only to be told that Ciara and Laura were no longer there.

“Where the hell did you take them!” Reagan growled out in anger at the officer in charge.

As soon as they got the info they needed, they went after the police men who took the girls.

Ciara heard the gun shot but felt nothing,instead she saw the police officer in front of her slump no the floor, spilling out blood from his mouth.

Ciara look up only to see that it was Reagan who had shot the gun.

A relief sigh escape her lips as she watch the three men come to their aid.

She turn to Laura only to see that she was unconcious.

“Laura!” Ciara scream out just as Rico got to them.

“Let me” he said as he lift the unconscious Laura into his arms while Willow help her stand up.

She stared at Reagan who was watching her In silence before going after Rico to know what happen to Laura.

“She will be fine right?” Ciara asked the doctor who gave a nod in return.

“She only fainted due to shock and stress and I believe that those men that took you had hit her when she put up a fight” The doctor said while she nodded in reply feeling guilty since all of it is her fault.

“She will be fine. She only needs to use the drug I prescribe and get enough rest” the doctor assured.

“I will see you out sir” Willow offered accompanying the doctor out.

“You look stressed yourself, you can leave while I take care of Laura” Rico offered.

“But I….”

“Just let him do it, you need to rest” the quiet Reagan said and slowly she got off the bed and left the room with Reagan.

Reagan Chamber

Ciara walk into the room feeling nervous.

This is the first time she will be alone with Reagan after the festival incident.

“Are you okay?” She asked but he ignored her, choosing to pour a cup of water for him self to drink.

“Reagan” she called softly, taking hold of his hand when he tried to walk past her.

“Am sorry” she apologise.

“Sorry? Have always known that you hate me but for you to do such a thing…”

“I swear to you that I didn’t inject the horse” Ciara pleaded.

“I know you didn’t do it. You were only used by someone who’s been scheming for a way to get rid of me but if you hadn’t given her that chance, she would never have use you” Reagan yelled at her.

“Am sorry, Reagan” she said not knowing what to say.

“You don’t have to apologise since it’s my fault for wanting to marry you in the first place” He said as he pulled his hand out of hers.

“But you should worry no more since I will set it right soon” he added and that caught her attention.

“What do you mean by that?” She asked slowly.

“You will know soon” he replied before leaving the room.

Ciara didn’t know why she felt scared by what he said.

She should be happy that he will reconsider the marriage thing and let her go but she felt more sad than ever.

Queen Chamber

“Why did you set those two criminals free and besides, you are meant to still be at the hospital!” The queen yelled at Reagan as soon as he walk in.

“Am fine, I only fell from a horse and Ciara is not a criminal, the real Criminal is closer to you than you think” Reagan replied starring at Elvira.

“She tried to kill you. What other prove do you need for you to know that she’s a…”

“Ciara is innocent mom! She was only used to carry out the evil deeds of someone else and so I don’t want you or anyone touching her again. She’s the girl I intend to marry” Reagan yelled at her.

“Never! I won’t let you marry a girl like her” Queen mother object.

“You have no say in what I….”

“I do and that’s because am the Queen ”

“And I am the king!” Reagan yelled in return startling them. ” I have every right to do what I want and not you or anyone will stop me. Leave Ciara alone, this is a warning to anyone who dare mess with her ” Reagan said starring at Elvira who watch him in silence.

“What the hell did that girl do to him?” Queen mother asked as soon as Reagan left the room.

“What do you think? She obviously seduced him” Elvira replied.

“What am I going to do? I don’t want that girl marrying your brother” Queen mother said looking very worried.

“Don’t worry mom, I will help you get rid of her” Elvira said.

“What do you plan to do ?'”

Ciara got out of the bed after several attempt of trying to sleep.

The thought of finding the culprit who Injected the horse couldn’t make her sleep.

Her phone In hand, she walk towards the door and open it, only to see Elvira standing there.

“What are you doing here?” Ciara asked.

“So, you manage to get out of it alive” Elivira said as she made to walk past her but Ciara stood in her path.

“It’s a pity I won’t have you as one of my aid anymore” Elvira added having a smirk on her face.

“I should have known all along that helping me wasn’t what you had in mind. You were only after Reagan” Ciara began.

“From the time you told me to cook for him and the time you sent that maid to poison him and this recent incident, I let you use me however you want but not anymore cause I intend to stop you” Ciara said with intent.

“Oh really? How do you plan on stopping me? ” Elvira asked forcing a smile on her face.

“I don’t know, I don’t have a direct plan yet but one thing you should know is that, I won’t rest until I bring you down and I swear on Reagan’s safety that I will throw you out of the palace myself ”

“You won’t be able to achieve that” Elvira said, her voice wobbling a little.

“It will take me a while before I get to achieve my goal but I know that you are very much scared right now and it’s your fear that will make me achieve what I want ” Ciara replied as she walk past her to open the door.

“Get out of this room, you aren’t welcome here” Ciara said.

Elvira let out a smirk and as soon as she got towards the door, Ciara words stop her.

“And also, don’t even think of hurting Reagan again cause if you do, I promise to hurt you ten times more”
