Anne’s POV continues
I could not tell what I felt as I saw the duo in,side the sitting room, I don’t just know whether to be afraid or not to be..
“Sophia” I called in a low tone and she turned to my direction,
Immediately she saw me, she ran towards my direction with a huge smile on her face..
“How are you? I hope Drake did not hurt you? Did he beat you? Are you okay?” She kept asking as she checked me thoroughly, her face was exuding care and passion..
“I’m fine…but..isn’t that Steve?” I asked with dear written on my face, I can’t ascertain why Steve would also be here and did not even tried hurting me…
“Yes that is him..he has changed, he is here to save you” Sophia explain making Steve walk closer to me with a smile
“Please can you just forget the past girl?” He said in a low soft tone,
I just stared at him blankly trying to be sure of what Sophia said..
“You don’t have to be afraid of me now, I’m a changed person now, I promise I’ll not hurt you” he explained and I let out a deep breath..
“How did you suddenly changed, you are the same person that shot me that night, you also shot Jeremy.. you left me in the hand of Drake who pestered my life, how can you change in a blink of an eye?” I asked staring into his eyes which was drawn
“I’m sorry, that was when I had…”
“Anne can you please stop asking him those questions, let’s find a way to leave here as quickly as possible before we are caught” Sophia beckoned and I nodded and scurried to my room, I quickly packed few of my things there and dashed out, I couldn’t help the smile that kept escaping my l-ips…
Could this mean that I’m gonna see Jeremy..
Wow!!!
I walked out and we all rushed out of the mansion, I was totally surprised to see all the guards protecting the house lying motionless, scattered around the floors..
We all drove away speedly..
“So where are we going to now?” I asked anxiously
“We would go to my house first and I’ll tell you many things that you have to know…”Sophia replied and I arched my brow,
“I hope all is well with Jeremy?” I found myself asking in a rush..
“Untill we reach home, I’m not telling you anything” she stated with finality…
I rested my head on the head rest of the car with anxiety dripping into my nerves, could it be that Jeremy is dead? That night I was kidnapped, I saw it clearly that Jeremy was shot by this Steve of a guy.. what of he did not survive the shots,
Oh God…
I pray it is not what I’m thinking..
I swear I’d kill this Steve if anything happens to Jeremy…
“Hey!!’ I called Steve immediately
“Ugh,any problem??” He asked still looking straight without glancing at me
“Why did you shoot Jeremy?” I asked with grim all over my face
He sighed and kept quiet….
“Anne why can’t you just keep quiet ugh?” Sophia snorted…
“I just asked him a simple question!” I gruffed
“Hold those questions till we reach home!” She blasted and I looked away rolling my eyes at her…
We finally got home after the journey which seem unending to me…
I quickly got down and walked to the sitting room taking a seat immediately…
You can’t tell how anxious I am….
“Anne go take a cool bath after that we are taking our lunch” Sophia stated and walked upstairs with Steve who was just quiet all this while, it seems like something was really eating him deeply..
Does it means that he is feeling guilty for killing Jeremy????
Noooo, no no it can’t be!!
Jeremy is alive..
I stood up and turned to leave for the washroom,
I looked around and got confused because I don’t know anywhere in this house, I’ve not been here for the first time, there were two stairs that leads upstairs..
I followed the one that Sophia went through and got to the hallway… I walked forward wishing to see the restroom there…
As I stroll further I heard a discussion going on in a room which I guess is where Sophia and Steve was because the voice were theirs…
I shrugged and made to walk away but immediately I heard them call the name of Jeremy, I was forced to eavesdrop…
I placed my ear close to the door…
“Do you think Jeremy would regain his memory after seeing Anne??” I heard Sophia’s voice
“There is a high probability that he would.. he loves her so much and seeing her can work on his senses, seeing her would bring his past memories to him, but it may take some time” the hoarse tone which sound like that of Steve replied…
I felt my heart skip beat as I heard those words…
Jeremy has loss his memory, he can’t remember me again…
“No let this not be true” I mused not knowing my voice was louder
“Who is there????” Someone asked from behind and the door opened almost immediately not giving me the chance to run away…
“What are you doing here??” Steve who had opened the door asked with a scowl..
“Erm, erm..I came..I.. did not know where the restroom is located..” I spluttered
“Okay go further to the room at your right” he replied and walked back immediately…
I sighed heavily before turning away,
One word kept ringing in my mind…
Jeremy may not remember me…
I walked in,side the restroom and took a quick bath, I walked out and found a ladies wear already hung for me,
I took it and clad my body, it was a body hug red gown which fitted me some well,
I walked to the sitting room and found Steve and Sophia in the sitting room gisting happily…
I smiled and went over to them…
“I’m not hungry, please can you tell me what I need to know about Jeremy, I’m in great suspense..” I said and to them
“Okay then sit” Steve said and I smiled and sat down staring at them…
“That night, I was high on drug and I suppressed my conscience like I used to do, I was bent on ending everything, I was bent on ending my mission and travelling back to the state… I shot you and offered you to Drake so he would kill you after he is done with making your life miserable, I never shot Jeremy a bullet, what i shot into him was a tranquilizer pin which made him weak, so that he would not say what happened, I injected him with a chemical that causes memory loss and that is what happened, right now, he can’t remember many things that happened in the past, including you, he can’t remember you but I’m sure if you stay with him for some months, he might recall, I’m sorry” Steve explained
“Then why are you suddenly sorry for what you did, who made you change?” I asked
“She did!” He replied pointing at Sophia who was just smiling
“Really?”
“Yeah we are in love” Sophia said and I felt my heart leap for joy…
This means that I’m now safe with Jeremy…
“Okay then how and when I’m I seeing him?” I asked
“We are going now, I heard that he is longing to see you” Sophia said and I jolted up in a rush and ran outside to the garage where the fleet of cars were packed…
I couldn’t just wait for anybody, I need to see my lovely Jeremy, it has been long…
I drove away giving Steve and Sophia deaf ears…
I successfully located Jeremy’s house and quickly parked the car in the garage…
I hopped down and smiled lovely as I stared at the mansion in front of me,
I looked around and the memories of the past came repeating itself in memory,
The place was quiet and the cool breeze was hovering around giving me warmth in my soul…
I took a step forward and could hear his Jeremy voice in my heart, I could see him In my soul..
I finally reached the pouch only to find the door opened slightly…
I took a deep breath and walked in slowly…
The sitting room was quiet like there was no body living there, I strudge upstairs to his room,
Without knocking, I opened the door and there was my Jeremy sitting on bed with his head sagged downward, he was in deep thought that he could not notice my presence…
I could not say any word as his cuteness really struck me…
After some minutes, I walked closer and that was  when he got back to reality and looked up, his eyes fell on mine….
