The travel man shook his head and stared at Kylie. It was obvious that she didn’t know what happened years ago.
“I don’t understand wise one. What truce are you talking about?” Kylie asked again. She was very confused. She wished the wise one could just explain things to her more clearly and stop speaking in parable.
“There have to be a truce between the three specie” he said again.
“But there is a truce already. Everyone is together and there’s no fight anymore”
“Kylie…” He called out slowly.
“Yes, wise one” she replied.
“Sit, let me tell you a true life story” he said.
Kylie walked fully into the room and sat on his bed and watched him as he rocked himself slowly, trying not to sleep. Sometimes, she wondered how old he was. He was looking so old but yet, strong.
She sat already, waiting for him to start the story.
“Long time ago, a king had three wives and three powers .. in the palace, everyone lived together as one. But everything changed when the king died. Before he died, he shared all his powers between his three wives. They all acted sweetly while he was still drawing with his life. Immediately he died, the war began. The three wives went their separate ways with their children. They also shared their powers with them and then, they all turned enemies”

“Are you saying.. all of us with supernatural abilities are from one person” Kylie interrupted.
“If you put it that way, so be it” he said.
“Then what next?” She asked.
“That’s all. They all became enemies till the day you settled all dispute. You are the one that brought them back tomorrow Kylie and you are the one that have to make sure they don’t separate again”
“Why should it be me? I didn’t even try to do anything to bring them back or anything. I’m just a mere demigod, whom everyone wanted dead!”
“Exactly, you are the person that everyone wanted dead and now, you see everyone’s role model jut because you settled the dispute. If you’d ask anyone what the cause of the dispute was, they wouldn’t know”
“How do you know any of this?” Kylie asked.
“I was there when the king died. I was one of the seven chiefs, the youngest. When the war started, they decided to lock me in a book just for future sake. This is one of the impact, sometimes that I get summoned, it’s in the wrong place or in the middle of a crazy war. That was when I met the Specie”
“This is crazy. I have no idea how I’m going to believe you”
“You don’t have to believe me. The story is written in my book already. You can take it home and read it for better understanding” he said and pointed to the huge book that was lying on the table.
“Fine, I’ll take it home and come back to you” she said grabbed the book. She turned and head out of the room.
The travel man just closed his eyes and dozed off after Kylie left.

As Kylie head out of the hangout, she heard some of the witches talking about making her the new head. She stopped and turned to face her. She shook her head and quickly left. There was no way she could or was going to lead the witches. It was a very hard task. But she knew someone who could lead them. Their new head was unorganized and not functioning well.
Kylie just had to talk her to it and she hoped he agrees to it.

Kylie appeared in front of Elina’s house. She saw her watering the little garden below her window.
“Mom?” Elina heard Kylie’s voice and turned to stare at her.
“Oh Kylie!” She replied and placed the watering can on the floor and went to hug Kylie.
“Oh my dear, I missed you so much” Elina said.
“Me too mom” she said. Elina looked round and saw that no one was coming from the car. She was expecting to see one of the kids but wore a disappointed look on her face.
“You came alone?” She asked as Kylie nodded.
“I was just coming from the hangout” she said. As Elina heard that word, she grabbed her can and continued watering the flowers.
“Mom? Why did you leave the hangout?”
She paused and stared at her daughter in-law.
“Isn’t it obvious? They didn’t want me there anymore” she said.
Kylie shook her head and tried to convince Elina to come back.
“Oh no, that’s a lie. It wasn’t obvious at all. Everyone loves you and need you back. You are the only one that is capable of leading them again and share love between the fellow witches”
Elina smiled.
“Nice try Kylie but I’m still not changing my mind. I’m not going back to the hangout”
“Fine. I won’t force you. You should think about it also” Kylie said and went to her car.
She waved at Elina and drove away. She didn’t believe that she would spend almost the whole day reading the travel man’s book.
“Welcome honey!” Jasper said and kissed Kylie’s cheek.
“Thank sweetie. Where are the kids?’ she asked. She discovered the house was unusually silent.
“Allison went out with Gabriel, Sean is on a date with Hazel while poor Josh is playing all alone at the backyard”
“How can you leave him all alone there?” She asked, almost yelling.
“I was with him till I heard your voice. He’s doing just good” Jasper said and head to the backyard. Kylie rolled her eyes and went to the room. She wanted to be quick in reading the book and spend time with Josh tomorrow.

After dinner, everyone went to their separate rooms.
Kylie went to check on the them and tell them goodnight before they slept. She went to Josh’s room and saw that be was gathering his toys around him before trying to sleep.
“Good night Josh” she said while standing by the door.
Josh turned and saw his mother.
“Don’t forget about the park tomorrow!” He yelled and switched off his light.
“Yes Josh” she said and finally left.

Kylie went to Sean’s room and saw that he was fast asleep already. She locked the door again went to check on Allison.
She was also fast asleep. She smirked and went to her room. She saw Jasper checking out the travel man’s book.
“Seem like they had a lot of fun today!”
“Of course they did. I have to enroll Allison and Josh in summer class tomorrow, so they can start on Monday. They can’t spend the whole summer playing!”

“Well, it’s your own decision to make. I have to read this book tonight, seven hundred and sixty three pages. Woah!” Kylie jumped on the bed.
“Mom told me you went to see her”
“Yeah, I did. I wanted her to come back to the hangout. They need a leader. All the species have their own leader except the clan. They can’t just choose a youngster to lead them, they need someone that it well experienced”
“You are right. I will also try talk to her on your behalf” Jasper smiled.
“That’s my love” she said and planted a kiss on his lips.
“Good night, happy reading!” He said and laid down to sleep.
Kylie just concentrated on the book she was reading. She read every passage and chapter without skipping anyone.

The next morning, after breakfast. Kylie took Josh to the park. She watched as he made friends with the other kids there. She sat on an empty bench.
“Go Josh! Be careful!” She yelled.
“Yes Mom!” He yelled in reply.

Suddenly, a lady sat beside her. She didn’t bother to check who it was.
“Go Dylan, go have fun” she said to her son. Kylie could see how pulpy her son was. She diverted her eyes from him and focused on her own son.
“Bye Mom!” Dylan ran into the playground and started playing with other kids.
For some reason, Kylie found the lady’s voice familiar.
“We meet again Kylie”
Kylie heard her name and turned, only to see Lina, the Delta.
“Lina? I can’t believe you are here!” Kylie exclaimed.
“I see… Now, sitting on the same bench with you makes me sick already” Lina said, making Kylie chuckle.
“How long will you hate me? Huh?” Kylie asked softly.
“As long as it takes” she replied.
“Fine, when did you arrive?” Kylie asked.
“Last month… I heard you killed the Specie already. Nice work”
Kylie secretly rolled her eyes. She hates to take credit for what other people has done.
“I didn’t kill him, my son did”
Lina finally turned to stare at Kylie.
“You found your son also. Good for you”
“Hahaha… Very funny Lina. You should hang out with us tonight. We are going on a baby shower”
“Who is the us?”
“Madison, Cindy and Lilly will be present”
“Fine, I’ll come but just because Lilly is going with you” she said and looked away.
Kylie smirked. She couldn’t wait for the ladies to meet Lina after some many years. She wished she could just be with her friends for a whole month.
She really missed them.
