🌀 Ethan’s POV 🌀
“It’s okay little brother, everything’s gonna be fine” Josh said as he continued patting my back
We stayed like that for a while before I finally disengage from the hug
“You are very lucky little brother, you’ve got many people that care about you but you shouldn’t make them worry too much” Josh said and I nodded
We both went out of the room to the sitting room
“Are you okay now Ethan?” Sophie asked on seeing
“Yes Sophie, am fine” I replied
“Do not do this again Ethan, am tired of getting scared like this every year” Dad said
“Sorry Dad” I said
“You sure you are okay bro?” James asked and I nodded
I looked at Jade and Addy, none of them were talking
“Thanks for finding me” I said
“It’s fine” Addy said with a smile
“Just don’t give us such a scare again”Jade said and l smiled
“Since everything thing is ok now, I’m off to work since am already late” Dad said
“Bye dad” We all said and he left
“Who is ready to party!!” Josh exclaimed
“No one is partying Josh” I said
“Don’t be such a joy killer Ethan” James said
“It’s your birthday after all” Jade added
“Yeah” Addy said agreeing with Jade
“Am not in the mood for partying” I said
“Then let’s vote” Sophie said
“Yeah, if you want a party raise your hand” James said and everyone raised their hands
“It’s 5 against one little brother” Josh said with a smirk
“Do you guys have a iPod Sophie?” Jade asked
“Yeah I’ll go get it ” Sophie said and left for her room
“I’ll order for Pizza” Addy said as she took her phone
“Yup, no party without food” Josh said
“Maybe you all have forgotten but lemme remind you, you guys are supposed to be in school right now” I said
“It’s almost time for the school to close, you don’t expect us to go back now” James said
“Here it is” Sophie said coming out of her room with am MP3 player
“Which song should we play” Jade’s asked collecting the player
“Do you have ‘DJ got us falling in love’?” Addy asked
“Yeah that song is a wow” Jade said
“Let’s play it then” Sophie said
“No I don’t want that song” James said
“Me too” Josh said
“Which song do you want then?” Addy said
“For free” James said
“By DJ Khaled” Josh added
“You got it man” James said bumping a fist with Josh
“No way, we aren’t playing that song” Jade said
“Yeah” Sophie agreed
Are this guys seriously arguing about which song to play in a party I have absolutely no interest in
“Let’s vote then” Sophie said
“If you are in support of ‘DJ got us falling in love’ please kindly raise up your hands” Addy said the 3 girls raised there hands
“I don’t think there’s any need to vote again, it’s 3 against 2” Jade said
“No it’s 3 against 3, Ethan is with us” James said
”Right little brother?” Josh asked and I kept quiet
Do they seriously want me to partake in their childish music contest
“Don’t you vote for them Ethan” Jade said
“Why not?” I asked
“Or else am gonna tell everyone your nickname in Brattford High” Jade said
“You’re bluffing, you don’t even know it” I said not believing Jade
“She isn’t Ethan, she knows it, I actually told her” Sophie said
“You are joking Sophie” I said
“Okay then” Jade said “your nickname in Brattford High was Silen…..”
“Stop I vote for you guys” I yelled
“Yes!!!” The girls started jubilating
“Come on Man” James said dissapointed
“Am dissapointed in you little brother” Josh said
“It’s not my fault, I was gonna support you guys, they blackmailed me” I defended
Jade played the song and the girls began to dance
“The song isn’t that bad” James said as he stood up and started dancing too
“I can’t be the only one left out Josh said and joined the dance
I just stood and watched the crazy people I’ve got around me
“Join us Ethan” Sophie said as she came with Addy and dragged me to their midst while they continued to dance around me
I laughed some time on seeing the funny moves some of them did
Moments later, there was a knock on the door and Addy went to open it
“It’s pizza!!” She exclaimed as she closed the door
“Yey!!!” They all scre-med
Addy dropped the pizza on the table and they all took a slice and continued dancing
I sat down on the chair and continued watching them with a smile and sometimes I laughed when any of them made a funny dance move
Time went by and they all got tired and stopped dancing
It was getting dark and they began to leave
“Do you mind if I drop you off?” Addy asked Jade
“Of course not, thanks” Jade replied
Okay, why are they suddenly so close?
Jade and Addy left and moments later, James left too

I walked into the class and Jade was already in
Wow she really came early today
I walked on and sat on my seat
“Good morning” I greeted and she smiled
“How are you doing?” She asked
“Great, thanks for yesterday” I said
“It’s okay” she said
The homeroom teacher, Mrs Logan, came in
“Am sure you all know you’ll be writing your final exams in the next 3 days and I hope you guys are getting prepared. You won’t be having much classes again just to give you guys time to prepare cause you’ve got to get good grades on this exams if you want to go to a good college” she said and left the classroom
“I guess we’ll have to be more serious with the tutoring lesson now” I said to Jade
“Instead of tutoring lesson, I have another idea” she said with a smile
“What idea” I asked
“Come with me” she said and stood up
She walked up to James and Addisson since there seats were right in front of each other
“What’s up Jade?” Addisson said and I was surprised
Are this two seriously becoming friends
“What do you guys think of about group reading?” She asked with a smile “since we won’t be having much classes again we could start reading together”
“That’s a great idea” James said
“Yeah and we could make use of the class Ethan and I used for the competition” Addisson said
“Great, so it’s agreed then?” Jade asked
“Of course” James said
“Am in” Addisson said
“What about you Ethan” Jade asked
“Am okay with it” I said
“Since we have nothing doing, we should probably start now” James said and we all agreed
And that’s how we started the group reading
It was fun, reading together with my friends, it was amazing
Sometimes we were serious, sometimes we just joked around and sometimes we asked each other questions
And sometimes, I just stare at Jade and Addisson
What’s it about this two girls that I can’t seem to get off my mind, is my heart still playing games with me?

Days passed by and soon it was time for the exams
“I hope you guys are ready now, today’s exam is mathematics and Biology” Mrs Logan said “Mathematics exam will hold now and biology will be after the break”
Mrs Logan began to share the question papers
“You have 1 hour 30 minutes for this paper” she said as she shared the paper round “no side talks or your paper won’t be marked”
We began the exam and the questions weren’t really difficult so I finished before the end of the allotted time
The time given passed and Mrs Logan collected all the papers
“Oh I almost forgot” she said when she was about to walk out of the classroom “Prom will be a week after your exams” she said and left
The class shouting and jubilating
What’s so special about prom
“Ethan” Jade called and I looked at her
“What is it?” I asked
“I’ve got something to tell you” she said
“What is it?” I asked
“Not now, I’ll tell you on the day we end our exams” she said and I nodded
I wonder what she has to tell me
Days passed and we continued with our exams, some were CBT while others were written

I woke up, took my bath and dressed up for school
I can’t believe I’ll be finishing High school soon
I went out of the room and met Josh setting the table for dinner, he’s a pretty good cook too and he works as a chef in a restaurant now since he insisted on not going back to college
I had my breakfast and went off to school
I met James by the gate and we walked in together
“It’s our last exams as high school students bro” James said with a smile
We entered the school and I went and sat on my seat
Jade isn’t in school yet
Moments later, Addisson walked up to me
“Can I speak with you after the exam?” She asked
“Sure” I said
“Thanks” she replied and went back to her seat
Jade came into the class and sat on her seat
We greeted each other and soon our homeroom teacher came in with our last exam, Physics
She shared the paper round and we began the exam
The allotted time passed and she collected the papers
“I know you guys are all happy that this is your last exam here in High school but until you’ve done your graduation you are still RHS students and you are expected continue coming to school since there are alot of extracurricular activities for you to take part in for example, making preparation for you guys prom night. Anyway, congratulations on finishing your exams, I wish you guys the best result” Mrs Logan said and left the classroom
🌀 Jade’s POV 🌀
Immediately Mrs Logan left, the class broke into an uproar and everyone began jubilating
I looked at Ethan, we are ending High school soon and I’ve got to tell Ethan how I feel, it’s now or never
“Ethan” I called and he looked at me with a smile on his face
Awnn 😊 those cute dimples 😍
Snap out of it Jade 🤦
“Remember I told you I want to talk to you about something today?” I asked
“Yeah what is it?” He asked but I could barely hear him, everyone was making so much noise
“I know we had a bad start and I was probably the biggest bully of your life but things have changed Ethan, I’ve changed and my heart have changed too, I…. I think am in love with you Ethan” I said
“Sorry Jade, they are making so much noise, I couldn’t hear most of what you said, maybe we should go outside and you’ll tell me there” Ethan said
Like seriously, does he really expect me to repeat what I’ve just said
“What I said was…”
“What?” He asked interrupting me
“I said I love you!!” I said raising my voice
“What!!!” He said dumbfounded
“Yes Ethan, I don’t know how it started but I’ve fallen in love with you and am kinda wishing you’ll reciprocate my feelings” I said and quickly stood up and walked out of the class
I don’t think I can hear what he have to say now
🌀 Ethan’s POV 🌀
I sat still in my seat
Did Jade just say she loves me?
“Hey Ethan can I talk to you now, outside the class”
I looked up to see who talked and it was Addisson
I quietly stood up and followed Addisson out of the classroom
Am still quite shocked from what Jade just told me
We walked to an empty classroom
“Umm, Ethan” Addisson called
“What is it?” I asked
“Do you remember back then that we were preparing for the NMC together?” She asked
“Yes” I replied
“I started admiring you then, how could someone be so intelligent yet always so timid, I was amazed and I began to take more interest in you, I wanted to know you better and in that process, I don’t know how or when, I fell in love with you Ethan. I know you might find this awkward but I really do love you Ethan, since we won’t be RHS students soon, I thought it’s best if I confessed my feelings now and I really wish we’ll become a thing you know” she said and began to walk out but stopped
“For the meantime while you think about it, I hope it won’t stop us from being friends” she said and walked out
I slump down on a chair
Did Jade and Addisson just confessed their feelings for me on the same day?
Who should I go for?
My life is so messed up right now
